I've been lurking around here for about 3 days now...maybe 4 since its 2:30 am. Anyways love the place. I live in a small town in Cali, and have played of and on (sometimes months of off) from early 2007-late 08. Been playing more recently and about to start a campaign...still hammering out rules but starting soon. I have 2500ish points of Space Marines, that since 5h ed SM dex have become a successor chapter to the Salamanders. (they are ice blue/liche purple split)Yes I field Vulkan, no Termis at all, a couple dreads, and the last couple of games playing around with Sternguard. Also started an Ork army with AoBR. I have a good bit a Chaos Mortals but only have one game of WHFB under my belt. Loved it though.

I got started in 40k with the TechMarine and servitors box. Didn't play at the time, just used to build model RL aircraft, and wanted to build/paint. I thought the TechMarine looked awesome and was my HQ in 4th SM Dex. I have dropped him into my current list with a Thunderfire Cannon. After that I started to play a bit and got a tac squad from a friend (built and painted, but free, stripped and redone) Went to gamesday LA 07 got the marines BattleForce (The bigger one they used to have) Built up some from there. For some time I didn't play then went to GD LA 08 and got an army case. Since then I have been playing more and more. Almost every week...hopefully every week once the campaign gets going. Wish they hadn't killed GD LA. That was one of the more fun things to do...not a tourney player but the displays and chance to try new games was cool. Loved speed painting, pure insanity...sad i lost that model. Well I should sleep now. I'll lurk some more tomorrow...and put off painting once again. This site has too much (the perfect amount) of info. Night. or morning rather.
