I have to face the truth; The World at War: Gear Krieg book is a success!
http://www.wargamevault.com/product_info.php?products_id=63973
We have sold more copies of the book in the first week as of the US VC or the Chinese AB so far...
In addition DP9 announced an extended sale on all Gear Krieg minis!
20% off on all GK minis until September 21st!
http://www.dp9.com/
Time to rethink our planned releases ( http://www.agisn.de/html/a_d__publishing.html)and to announce the 1st Supplement to Gear Krieg: The British Walker Compendium.
http://www.agisn.de/html/gear_krieg_british_wc.html
You can also check out some Gear Krieg superscience WIP tank pics.

We are on it!

Postage is a little steep(to the UK) if you're only buying a little, do DP9 have a British supplier?
@ AAN: Do you fancy knocking up an article on what you need to play. I have the download you linked to in the other thread an a small battalion 15mm Germans (based up for FoW) what else do I need apart from a bunch of mechs?
How do the mechs/super tanks compare power wise with tanks of the period?

I don't think DP9 as a British distributor, but Jorvik Games is set up as a retailer and can probably order the walkers for you if you call them and ask. I've never dealt with them myself, though.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.
Play the games that make you happy. |

Well the mentioned “army list” here ( http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/252574.page) is a good staring example.
To play WaW: Gear Krieg you will need the World at War rulebook
(see: http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/home/detail.php?qsID=1591&qsSeries=47and
http://www.wargamevault.com/product_info.php?products_id=56239&filters=0_0_0) and of course the
WaW: Gear Krieg book ( http://www.wargamevault.com/product_info.php?products_id=63973&filters=0_0_0).
It then depends very much of what you want to play.
If you want to play mostly with tanks you can use the AFV list from the WaW GK book, buy a platoon of tanks and add 2-3 walkers – done, if you are more into infantry, get 1 FoW infantry platoon, add 1-2 tanks and some walkers – again done.
It is indeed very starter friendly.
If you want an in depth look at AFVs of WW II for WaW, my Vehicle Compendiums ( http://www.wargamevault.com/index.php?manufacturers_id=2468) are for you.
George Spiggott wrote: How do the mechs/super tanks compare power wise with tanks of the period?
The early walkers (Loki, Walküre, Early, Cavalier) are more or less comparable to Armoured Cars in power.
The later walkers (Uller, Thor, Longstreet and Roundhead) are more like Mid-War tanks, they sometimes carry some very unique and powerful weapons (like the Walker Panzerschreck launcher).
The Superscience tanks are on the top of the foodchain: Just like their normal counterparts with additional weapon tweaks.

I got this when it first came out some time ago. Never got to play it even once as no one else around here plays much outside GW and PP games. I'd love to get it but since I'll never use it I won't be picking it up.

??? I am a bit confused...
What are you referring to? The WaW: GK book was released on August 15 2009!
Are you talking of the original DP9 GK books?
I can only say that the gameplay of WaW: GK is way different from the Silhouette engine of DP9.

I wish they had a copy of the rules you could read the models look awesome but I am apprehensive about the rule system as I have never seen it played.

If I lose it is because I had bad luck, if you win it is because you cheated. |

I am referring to the original. I have been watching Gear Krieg since its initial release. WaW: GK is probably an improvement on the original and I have no doubt well made . In thi end though it does not matter that they are different as neither are single player games and no one near me plays it or will. I've tried to get other games going before to no avail.

Ahh, got it! You may need a new gaming group...
;-)
Honestly for me it was never difficult to get somebody else into a game. If I got difficulties, I painted two forces and let the other guy play with my army. Sooner or later they are hooked and want an army for themselves...
