Right, following on from my thread about that twonk stacking my Taxi, and thus endangering my earnings (I missed a weekend. A whole weekend. Way I see it, that tosser owes me £500 in lost earnings).
And yet the timing of it. The Holiday I have planned is a 5 day LARPing event, which will be my first. My friends have all been before, and every year I've signed up with 100% every intention of going. Yet every single year, something comes to prevent me. First year, despite having put in for my holiday months in advance, my time off is cancelled because the Deputy Manager decided she really needs it off. For no real reason than she wanted it. Grr.
Year after that, I got a massive bill through which needed paying, thus meaning I had 5 days of waste holiday (stuck at home with no money) and no LARP.
Bill thing repeated two or three times, and then we get to this year. All was ready. All was planned, then out of the blue yet another outside influence nearly renders me incapable of attending. Thankfully, my fellow Rubbish Hobbitt has come to the rescue with a £200 loan to get me there and keep me fed.
So given all this, I cannot help but feel something out there doesn't want me to go to Renewal for whatever reason. What that might be, I dunno. But I think I'm going to find out this year...

Massive forum donkey-caves aside, things are looking up for once. Fingers crossed and all that gak. Though Murphy is out there, once you jinx him you know what happens.

I suppose that I'll chime in with overly optimistic feelings.
If it's been this tough to get to, it has to be worth it, right? Plus, just the way that you've managed to swing it so you can go, in spite of the fifth year of complications in a row, probably helps make you feel a little better. To quote Monty Python "always look on the bright side of life" [Orkestra starts whistling, and can't be persuaded to continue his post until he finishes the song]
You're managing to go to something that you've been looking forwards to, so relax, have a drink, and get ready for some LARPing!
