Well, in case you havn't seen my very first mini, it's pretty freaking ugly. In fact, it's about.... this ugly:

So I needed to strip some minis for repainting, and I thought, why don't we repaint the first man too? He could use it.

And so I did. And it did pretty damn well. Basecoat was just some watered down Vallejo Dark Sea grey mixed with the slightest bit of mithril silver and chaos black. After that, it gets fairly straightforward from there. Only really unique thing is that the tabbard is made from a mix of Vallejo red carmine, saddle brown, and chaos black.
The etchings on his sheild/left leg/left arm are supposed to be the true name of every single daemon he's slain, inscribed upon his armour and purified so that the daemons may never return.
Lastly, the glow on his armour and weapon was achieved by drybrushing a mix of Regal Blue, Dark Angels Green, and Skull White in places where the light would have gone. I really like this look, and I think I might pursue it with my remaining knights. I really think this is one of my best minis yet. The only real issue I have is that the right arm has a bit of damage from the first paintjob.

Lastly, he doesn't actually have a base right now, since it was destroyed in the stripping. I'll be buying him a nice resin base from the hobbyshop later this week for him, and it'll get lighting effects and everything. I'll post pics of that when it's done too.

Then onto the not-so-sentimental stuff, DA KRUMPA, a Nob. Fairly standard for my Orks, except for the massive blood spatter from the chainaxe. It was achieved by taking some watered down Vallejo red carmine, red, saddle brown, and a touch of Chaos Black, putting it on a stiff brush, and flicking it onto the model. Made one hell of a mess for me to clean up, but it looks great.

Lastly, a completed unit of Dire Avengers. A lesson in frustration. I suck at batch painting. By the end, I'm just tired of doing the same thing over and over, and just throwing it on without a care. I need to take my time doing them one by one... slow, but they'll look presentable.

Those Dire Avengers look great. Putting anything on those banners?

I don't know what'll go on them yet, so I'm not going to touch them until I do.
