I live in Morganton but get around Lenoir and Hickory also. I have never played 40k but love the books and painting the guys. I have finally painted enough to play...I think and have rule books and codex on laptop for several races.

I live in Asheville, and would be interested in playing sometime.

I play chaos primarily, but have a small amount of necron and an even smaller amount of loyalist marines I haven't converted yet.

A quick note tho: most of my chaos models are still unpainted since I stripped a lot of them to repaint them

If you can ever get to Greenville, SC; you can get your game on at Borderlands. Great place, good terrain and plenty of tables.
I think we are a couple of hours form you if I remember correctly (I usu. don't so don't be afraid o correct me), so it may not be much of an option. But IF you ever do get down...

In searching for places to play in Asheville, I've seen Borderlands a few times.
I used to drive to Greenville for other games (WoW CCG). It's about an hour or hour and fifteen minutes away, which is probably further than I can make it for routine games.

FYI Saturday is open gaming open to close. Really, its open gaming all day every day they're open, but Thursday evenings and Satudays are when the locals crawl out of the woodwork.

Just in case anyone is still looking, Past times on Weaverville Hwy seems to be the best choice for a LGS. I spoke with them a few days ago and they said that people come and play every Saturday
