I liked it. Initially it did seem WAY too similar to CoH but the more I played the better it got. I actually don't play many MMORPGs (well except for CoH/CoV a couple of years ago) but I understand from playing a few different ones at friends that almost all MMORPGs have a certain similarity in interface but I felt this one had such deep customizable characters and I only got to level 21. Anyway, I really enjoyed it and I was curious what others thought...

Im in it currently and preordered. It's a lot of fun. I like how there isnt any set class, and you can mix and match powers from whatever powerset, as long as you meet the minimum requirements. It's a big improvement over CoH, but it's a bit different. I think it's kind of broken how you can play a character, and not have to rely on cookie cutter builds like so many fantasy genre mmo's do. It is actually really similar to it's pen and paper origin, kind of similar to gurps. Which is a good thing.

I dunno about this one , some of my friends kept telling me how good it is , just as i was excited to try , they said its awful.

Well, the Beta was buggy. Is that maybe what they are talking about? Its still got some bugs but compared to the Beta it runs very smooth.

This thread needs more screens of superheroes made ingame.

I'll keep that in mind next time I log in. My video card took a crap and I'm using an older one so I'm not sure how they will look though.

As with ANY MMO that is first released there are bugs aplenty. Many people have a hard time accepting this. I'll take some screens of the character I've made and post em tonight.

Well after playing it sporadically for the past 5-6 weeks I have to say I am overall very disappointed and will be canceling my subscription.

I'm not a huge MMO player at all but I was a fan of the old RPG (still have it on my shelf) and thought this one would be interesting. Suffice to say I feel it has NOT lived up to many of the promises made prior to release. It also seems like it has this hugely customizable character creation system with stats, powers and builds but in practice they affect the game so little that it is incredibly disappointing. And, travel powers, are so, to put it simply, broken that Flight is really the only one that is worth taking as the rest are either too slow or constantly put you in peril. Never mind the fact that my projector takes more damage and is more durable than my tank. Anyway, I'm falling into rant zone.

I really liked this game at first, it seemed really cool and promising but the deeper I got, the less I liked it and I actually loathe even logging in now.

I wanted to put this out for anyone that was interested. I'm really quite saddened by it all. Maybe my expectations were too high.

I spent more time with the character creator than playing the game itself, though admitedley this was during Beta so Im hoping gameplay has improved. May go back in a few months and see how I feel about it then
