I got pasted this link in IRC, I don't speak a word of spanish, but the product looks very nice, though it probably costs an arm and a leg.

http://www.modelmaq.es/

A worklight built in, a foldable spray hood, adjustable paint racks, tool drawers, etc. Would like one, yes.

EDIT: From their English forum, found out the price for one is 245€ + VAT + shipping. So yeah.

Wow, that looks mad cool. If it didn't cost that much, I'd really consider getting one.

I would buy that, but I think it translates to $300+ USD. If it were 200 or less maybe. I see too many potential breakages in all that. Maybe if I saw it in person.

*Sees product* Awesome!
*Sees price* Never mind...

Seriously, ~€300,- for an oversized metal briefcase with some plastic drawers and a light? You could probably make that yourself for a fraction of the cost.

If Agamemnon2's estimate is correct, more like $400+.

I can see how this would be useful for those of you who go to gamesdays and end up finish painting your golden demon entries at the last minute in a hotel.

I see good quality and durability here. There is the price tag, but this is a major investment that should pay off over the years.

Excluding VAT (taxes) and shipping yeah, so that'll add 15-20% easily.

Its pretty cool if it wasnt so goddamn expensive, for nearly the same price I can get a brand new drawing table along with a fantastic day light lamp.

I belive is an airbrush hood. Aerografio is Airbrush in spanish. However, it is pretty useless unless it has a downdraft. Still the pollutants would go into the surrounding air vs. a true exhaust system.

Yeah, it's an airbrush hood, but given the way it's constructed, it could easily work as a lightbox as well.

I'd be worried the overspray from the brush would ruin the case as a lightbox or even ruin the bulb itself...

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

And it would, short of this thing having a fan and a filter on it there is going to be a light dusting all over the inside of that.

True enough, but then how often are you going to go out and use it?

Well, if you're investing that much time or effort, I hope more than a little.

I actually travel with a paint kit quite a bit. On business travel I'd pack a 20 paints, brushes, and a portable Ott light to use in the hotel room late nights. Vacations too.

With less travel these days I love to go paint at the LGS. However, lighting really sucks to I generally pack one with me. For me it is a win. I wouldn't pack up an airbrush and compressor too though. But the rest is very nice.

That is an awesome kit and a great website demonstration; unfortunately I have neither the budget or a want/need for it.

Here's hoping someone tries to capitalize on a more budget version hehe.

I also do something similar today. I've got a Sears craftsman 2-drawer metal toolbox, and I keep everything in that. Then I take that, and a GW Painting Station with me on trips where I think I'll be able to paint.

I also keep it upstairs in my home (rest of my hobby stuff is downstairs). I frequently paint upstairs at the kitchen table so I'm within 'sighting/hearing' distance of the wife and kids. With 3 young children, it's hard to escape to the basement to paint.

So for me, this would be a great purchase.

I'd actually use it to put away all my painting supplies from my desk at once. Right now I don't have a single square inch of spare out there, being able to fold it all away at once would be worth money. Though sadly not over 200 Euros' worth.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

My Spanish is pretty bad, however I think it may have an extractor built in for the airbrush booth. Take a look here. If you hover your mouse over the red circles a description pops up (in Spanish). The description towards the bottom next to the draws mentions 'Un interruptor para accionar los extractores de la cabina de pintura' which I think translates to 'a switch to control the extractors of the painting booth'.
