Subject: Painting Servitors?

Hey Guys,
Soo I've got 4 freshly assembled Servitors sitting on my desk... and I've been thumbing through the codex looking at the example pictures.
Now, it's rare that I'd say this... but I think 'Eavy Metal got it wrong by painting them dwarf flesh... all rosey and living... These guys are LOBOTOMISED... they're machines, with no concerns for themselves (I mean they're fearless ffs)... would they really look so well-kept?
I've decided I want my Servitors to look more "Zombie" like... neglected shuffling automatons... But I'm also quite a 'tard (and a noob) when it comes to painting flesh... Does anyone have any tips? Baring in mind my flesh paints are limited... Tallarn Flesh, Codex Grey (undercoat?), Chaos Black... Catachan Green? And various reds... these are the paints I have that I feel could contribute to a face.
Tips would be appreciated!

I usually use rotting flesh with a wash over it and highlight with rotting flesh again.
(I do tend to use gross mixtures of inks too, benefit of a large ink stock)
But since your pallet is limited, how about; 20% tallarn flesh, 20% catachan green and 60 codex grey.
Guess that might turn out as a dull fleshy color with an unhealthy looking touch of green.
But seriously, buy rotting flesh and some washes. Can't do wrong with devlan mud.

Got any screenies of rotting flesh in action? :>
Be it your own minis or someone else's on google? Automatically Appended Next Post: Actually I did google some (some good pics available)... A bit too green, Grey seems more "realistic" to me.... like a corpse.

Best idea is just tallarn flesh by itself mixed with a little chaos black, it goes a really funky looking grey skin colour.
Then i personally like a wash of either leviathian purple or asuremen blue, then all i did was reduced the amount of black in the mix/increase the tallarn flesh and highlighted up to a very slight normal skin tone colour for the very very final highlight.
The shot below is my plague marine i did in that styling, photo is a bit big but i had to snap it quick before i head out.
Hope it helps.
Also if you can, pick up last months white dwarf it has a number of face tutorials that are broken down step by step. There is one in there for rotting flesh or undead flesh which i think you could use well as well.
Winter.

Rotting flesh, with a wash of devlan mud, and a highlight of rotting flesh with a little white.
My augmetics on the servitors are done in various shades of bronze (dirty, grimy bronze) - like proper victorian steamworks.

I don't think that rotting flesh is the way to go - it looks, well, too green/rotten. Servitors would be largely preserved flesh - so think about using normal flesh-tones but add grey to the mix at every stage to take off the warm edge. I also apply my highlights to look streaky, making the skin look old and slightly hardened.

Wow I really like that plague marine...
I did pick up that White Dwarf but I am not sure if I'm
A. Good enough.
or
B. Willing to fork out on extra paints just to specifically paint 4 servitors
I'll have to think about it... thanks for the replies guys
(Been on holiday so I was late replying...)
