Well i have finished up all my other projects so guard is the newest one
Now i have two ideas
1. Mechanicus as i have done a Skirrati sculpt for a client and was thinking about making me one
2. Pirate Guard as i am a huge pirate freak (saw alestorm and swashbuckle and like renegade ideas for guard) but mroe of a merc theme than like "Yarr Harr me and my peg leg" pirates 
so i will put it up to a vote i guess
and any ideas for either would be ace

Pirates would be ultra-cool if your army list will also suit piratical mercs - I'm thinking an ultra-mobile raider army, no heavy tanks at all, maybe Valkyrie-based? (Flying pirate ships counting-as Valkyries? - ultra-mega-cool!)

Pirate guard would be a great way to have an army that works for 40K and WHFB. You could easily magnetize the 20mm fantasy bases to the round bases from 40K.
Militia = Guardsmen
Steam tank= Leman Russ
Cannons/Mortars/Hellstorm= guard heavy weapons
Characters= command platoon

could base it on on elysian drop troop d-99 from IA4 anphelion project - basic 1 command squad for HQ, veteran squads for troops with drop sentinals for fast attack and vulture gunships for heavy support...

I vote pirates too, Empire militia as your main models, convert blunderbuses into plasma or metlas, lots of valkyries as the landing craft, Iron hand Straken or Yarrik as your half cyborg commander.

Pirates will be more merc esq but i plan to have a insane captian and his pirate body guard and vetrens and i ton of Skulls and Cross Bones

In all seriousness, do the pirate guard. It will rock. I would reccommend heavy conversions, with lots of eye patches, hook hands, peg legs, beards, pirate hats, longcoats, parrots, etc.
