I've managed to find some background information on White Scars in the Lexicanum and various other wikis, but I'm hoping to hear from someone much better informed on the chapter's background, focused primarily on Mundus Planus. I have a similar interest in the Space Wolves, but their Omnibus covers the topic rather thoroughly.

Still hoping someone shares this opinion enough to have some measure of background knowledge on the chapter.

Tried Index astartes ? Every Legion is covered there a bit.

I think the WS will also have some spotlight in a coming BL novel.

As it happens, I have not tried Index Astartes; I will certainly look into that, thank you.

And I will definitely keep an eye out for that forthcoming BL novel.

There was an Index Astartes article on the White Scars. It was in the first Index Astartes book (there are four in total). I don't think this book is available any more, but you might be able to find the article or the book bouncing around the interwebs.

The Lexicanium article is pretty good, though.

It looks like the Index Astartes books are out of print - and a damn shame, too...you hear me GW/BL?! - and so no go there, since I don't have jillions to spend on the eBay sharks. The Lexicanum was pretty good, and there may be some small amount of information in the latest Space Marines codex. I'll be digging it out later this evening.

Until then, and likely afterwards, my ears remain open.
