So if you want to check out my other thread its in the 40k backround section and its called IG Freedom Fighters, but anyways here is my list I just got the codex today and I wanted to get experienced players opinions about my army. I have gone with a footslogger force( as rebels would have a hard time getting a fully mechanized force). So this is what i got so far please help!

Company Command Squad
Medi Pack,Power Weapon, Regimental Standard, Plasma Gun, 2 Flamers and Carapace Armour total... 135 pts
Ok so lets talk about this unit, is it effective or are there better combos for the Command Squad? My plan was to run them up with the rest of the army and give out order,s and if things got a little rough burn some units. Also is master of Ordanace worth his points?Discuss!

10 Ratlings
total... 100pts
Are they worth the 100pts? I need a unit to pin and to generally annoy other units

10 Sanctioned Psycers
total: 100pts
Are they worth the investment in terms of killing power?

- 1000pts coming soon

OK, first of all you need an HQ and two troops to begin an army. What you have here is an HQ and two elites. Also, this comes to a slightly random 335 points. Try building to about 500 points at the beginning, it's hard to play a game with less. Just three squads a side bashing each other is not a very fun game.

So, your command squad may be trying to do too many things at once. (Literally, you have a medic, standard bearer, and three weapons carriers, when there are only four guardsmen in the squad eligible for such upgrades) If you really want to give the squad medic and carapace armour, just go with three plasma guns (since the upgrades will help them survive weapons failures) which should be an excellent squad killing marines in small games.

Leaving the ratlings+psykers aside for a minute, you need troops. Take a good read of the codex, looking at veteran squads, infantry platoons, and penal legions. I suggest that you try penal legion squads (to represent fanatical fighters) and/or veteran squads with the forward sentries upgrade (a sort of stealth elite) to fit your theme. This will also save you having to worry about platoon organisation, which can be a headache if you're still getting your head around the force org.

Obviously dude! He's trying to build a force around his psyker/ratling combo! Durr!

Anyways man, I'd toss in an inquisitor and a callidus. After that mech vets with demo charges and melta guns. Cheers!

That being said, I'll still give you a 0 if you bring more than 5 eldar skimmers. Don't be that guy.
Also, strippers.
