Hello Community,

I recently discovered this Board. I have to say I saw a lot of good quality which is definitely lacking on other boards these days so I thought I would sign up and share my latest work:

Mars Pattern Reaver Titan Invictorus

Known to be amongst the oldest of the Astorum Engines, Invictorus' records were unfortunately wiped out after an EMP assault by Iron Warriors during the Cursus War on Tallarn. Partial mem-notes were gradually recovered, but the Machine Spirit was sorely wounded, and required many years in support roles before being refitted and deployed in the frontlines of the Defence of Cadia during Abaddon's Thirteenth Black Crusade.

Invictorus' shoulderpads were repainted in an or (yellow) scheme during the Koromac campaign, fighting alongside the Howling Griffons in M38. After the successful completion of the campaign, the army badge was incorporated into Invictorus' overall heraldry, and the or shoulderpads granted as an honorific marking the Engine out as invested with leadership qualities.

The yellow band on the left kneepad represents the Legio's Campaign Badge, and the capital Alpha symbol was a mark of respect drawn from the Drookian Fen Guard, alongside whom Invictorus served – saving their entire 'A' company by obliterating a World Eater ambush in its early stages.

The silver skull device stems from the same campaign, marking the Titan out as a command unit.

Let me know what you think

I also plan to build a Warlord as a long run Project

The rigth arm of your Reaver isnt a FW one? Cant remember this design, so if is your own, how was it made?
Additionally, which weapon is it?

it is a custom built volcano cannon
Orlanth wrote:It looks like a volcano cannon.

It also looks like it is half made from the gatling blaster, is this a magnetised arm/ magnetised front half of the arm, replacement or what?

It will be interesting to know if you can still swap armament on the titan.

you are right my friend...
it isnt magnetized though because I disliked the Gatling Blaster and will probably use it for the Warlord later

It is just made from Random Bits, including CoD bits and a SM Rhino hatch for the barell,,,
infilTRAITOR wrote:These are wicked sick! I'm starting to like the Reaver after seeing that one.

What are your Skitarii plans?

Legs from Fantasy Dark Elf Warriors + GS
Cadian Torsos
SM Scout Shotguns converted into Hellguns
robed dark angel heads with GS respirators
Fire Warrior backpacks

yup that's it pretty much =)

thank you =) i am glad i finally made it to dakka... really enjoy this board

lexicanum.de --> titan legion
BigJon wrote:I see more and more Warp Runners popping up, I was going to do my own Lego but your Warp Runners look great, I might have to add the the Warp Runners ranks.

the revised color scheme FW did is just great that's why the warp runners are so popular those days.. would love to do a reaver in fire wasps colors though
jabbakahut wrote:Great painting, I like how the titans match as well.

thank you sir
Kryppers wrote:It's inspiring to see Titans sharing heraldry like that, well done, sir.

incidently, if you're intending on getting a Warlord, I'd say wait until FW have finished theirs.. scratch builds are impressive but the level of detail would look completely out of place next to your other two titans and spoil the overall effect.

don't underestimate my scratchbuilding skills my friend =)
did a thunderhawk scratchbuilt a couple of years ago (sold by now) that can keep up with the FW version.. so if the scratchbuilt warlord plans go well it will be very detailed..

Flachzange wrote:Crisp, clean. Very well done.

thanks to you aswell =)

thanks for the replies so far

hello guys

i repainted the little round armour plates for the shoulders and decided i didnt like the heraldry on the crotch armour anymore so i painted it blue..
i also permanently attached the banner that i airbrushed with graveyard earth before to give it a weathered appearence
unfortunately the stupid cables that connect the head and the carapace fell off... i didnt quite manage to bend them well enough but i will glue them back in place soon.

Avernus Maxima is hereby officially finished

here is the first foot for the warlord:

and a relatively crappy shot of the under carapace of the reaver that nobody gets to see =)

enjoy

Valkyrie anyone?

hello guys
here is a WIP Valkyrie for my Skitarii Squads
the idea is to create 2x 10 san squads Skitarii and field them as Stormtroopers in Valkyries and a Magos + retuine (Heavy Servitors + Praetorians) and field them as an Inquisitor in an Arvus Lighter (not purchased yet, but will field the same colors as the Valkyries eventually)

do the weapons look hellgun-ish enough?

the Skitarii will have power cables eventually that connect the backpacks to the hellguns

enjoy

(And please don't be a stranger around here - your work is fantastic and often times inspiring - it is because of you that I've still got the urge to field a Marines Malevolent force!)

sorry for the lack of posts..
i was just working on a hundred models that were all 95% finished and lacking the final touch...
expect massive updates (including marines malevolent) soon
only 5 models short from finishing a demi-battle company
Yes, an update! Yes, hellguns are great, neat use of scout shotguns. I approve! And are those necron bits for some of the arms?

The Valkyrie is great. Are those cityfight building bits on the base? Can we get a snap of it?

i will post a pic of the bases for you once i finished them =)

one of the skitarii has a necron arm indeed, well observerd

Can't wait to see the warlord. Which pattern will you do?

Lucius Alpha Pattern
came up with the name myself
basically the squared shaped Lucius Armour plates with Mars Pattern metal rims to make it look like the other engines
FerrumIgnatus wrote:I almost fell off the chair in plain astounishment. The script written on the banner on the Reaver's top carapace, is that REALLY painted by freehand? Other then that, awesome paintjob on the warhound and Reaver, and good luck with building the Warlord. Having seen your Thunderhawk scartchbuild, I'm eagerly looking forward seeing my favourite Titan build as you envision it.

Cheers, FI

the script is NOT A FREEHAND
i could technically do it if i invested way too much time i guess, but i decided to print custom decals instead

kaiservonhugal wrote:Do you have any concept sketching youre willing to share?

unfortunately not, sorry dude
Morgrim wrote:I love the heraldry painted on the top of the Reaver. What does the scroll work say? I was trying to puzzle it out, this is all I got: "...of the mind... Omnissah save us, Iron protect us, from this rotting... of biomatter, Machine God set us free."

shortened version of:

From the weakness of the mind, Omnissiah save us,
From the lies of the Antipath, circuit preserve us,
From the rage of the Beast, iron protect us,
From the temptations of the Fleshlord, silica cleanse us,
From the ravages of the Destroyer, anima shield us,
From this rotting cage of biomatter, Machine God set us free.

Somnicide wrote:Sweet georgia brown! Those are absolutely gorgeous! Are both completed titans scratchbuilt as well?

noooooo they are FW versions!
tekk_45 wrote:These look very very nice! I envy your scratch building skill...

only the latest titan is scratch built!

thanks for the positive feedback!

I´m really looking forward to seeing what other bits you´ll be using. So far it´s looking ace. Are you going for an old school look, or the newer, boxier Warlord design?

Heraldry looks solid too. Thumbs up.
