I don't exactly know where this would fit in the forum - Painting/Introductions/Misc - so i thought it would be fitting to introduce myself whilst at the same time ask for some help/guidance etc on a matter i have been getting worked up about.

My names Lewis, I pretty much have lots of time on my hands as of late and have decided to revisit my days of painting miniatures. Thing is i haven't painted for about 10 years...

I have no paints, brushes, miniatures left to paint from my Warhammer days.

With lots of lurking around a bit of research I've come up with a list of things i plan on buying and was wondering if you experienced folk would take a look and let me know what you think. If things are unnecessary or I'm missing vital things.

Things I have in a basket ready to order...

Citadel Foundation Paint Set- I figured it would give me the basic colours i will need - I plan on getting 2 or more so ill be able to mix what i want easier.
Chaos Black Spray for undercoat - a must right?
Citadel Fine Detail Brush - I plan on spending a lot of time on each model i paint
Citadel Normal Brush

So do you think i can get along with these? Missing anything, too much etc...
I will give inks a miss at the moment.


My miniature choices

Wood Elf Lord with Great Weapon - Looks amazing and I think its within my capabilites to paint
Eldar Warlock - I just love warlocks once again quite a challenge.

I've chosen the models that i like and feel ill have fun painting whilst providing a challenge.
I don't wont to buy a squad as I'm not really going to be gaming with them...

Er, yeah...so any advice/flames/encouragement/support etc lol will be gate fully accepted.

There are heaps of online discounters who will sell it heaps cheaper.

I noticed, I got them from Gifts for Geeks...so pretty cheap. I'm feeling less confident now about finishing a piece to my high standards. I'm sure I've got lots of trial and error ahead of me.

Welcome to Dakka.I have one critique on your list of must haves for painting.I think it's a pretty good start,but perhaps get some of the new GW washes,I myself haven't got around to buying any,but I have only heard good things of them.So anywho,welcome and get pics up soon!
