So we decided to do a 2000AP King of the Hill scenario. I did take pics but unfortuneatly my memory card is fried so they barely came out. Ahh well, time to get a new one I suppose

Always wanted to field an all type3 inf army . Objective was to blitz the hill and obliterate any units that came close...simple, straight forward, subtle as a brick. Red Blok to a tee

As we had no idea what the other was fielding the Fire Crawler floored me. With a sinking feeling in my stomach we set up the board.
The Battlefield
Very little for terrain save a few low walls and the large hill in the middle with a pyramid and a nano-generator on top.

Turn1

Red Block Priority wow..is anyone surprised? Love it
Zviezda scoots onto the left side of the table at a run and snuggles up beside the hill going into Overwatch.

Copperhead moves on from the opposite side and, catching a glimpse of the Zviezda and firing but they impacted harmlessly on the old ruins (hit with both but whiffed penetration rolls).

Dragomirovs w/the badass chickie blitzed onto the table directly opposite of the Copperhead and unload 8 rockets....buhbye Copperhead

The dazed Colonel tries to take cover behind a low wall but is obliterated in a hail of lead. In retaliation the Fire Crawler plods onto the board and blows the previously jubilant Kolossi to kingdom come (made it into range1..fired with 1 cannon and killed whole squad then zorched Dragomira with 2nd cannon).

2nd Dragomirov unit quickly run up and around the bulk of the pyramid, taking shelter from the deadly Fire Crawler.

With a whoosh and smoke and flames the gallant Wing Troopers set down on the opposite side of the objective, out of site of the Dragos. Unfortuneately they forgot to take into account the Zviezda...mortar impacts harmlessly behind them (dangit) but 1 gets gunned down by the MGauss.

Strieltz Kolossi blitz onto the table, brazenly rushing into the open to get a clear shot at the WingyBoys. Flames and grenade detonations fill the air and, after the smoke clears, only 2 of them remain. Oh how I love these boys up close vs. infantry

The Steel TacArms, probably a little gunshy at seeing what a REAL battlesuit looks like ., advances on the opposite side. Using the bulk of the objective to shield them from the kolossi they go into cover. They would have probably overwatched but the vaunted command structure of the Capitalist pigs was breaking down and they couldn't get clear orders (ran out of Lp )

Urod advances aggressively. Going max move he unloads his missiles at the TacArms and wipes the 'advanced' battlesuits off the field (made all 3 hits and penetrations with the rocket launcher and he completely choked on the cover saves...3 1's....buahahahaha). ATGun blasts at the Fire Crawler and scratches off the paint on a leg.
Things are really, really not looking good for UNA....

Unbelievably RedBlok wins priority

Strielitz Kolossi blow away the last WingBoys and move into cover.

Fire Crawler fires 1st cannon at Urod and....all body shots The dazed twins eject into the ruins wondering what just hit them. 2nd cannon heats up and blows the Zviezda to scrap metal...again a ton of body shots after a miserable effort on the 5+ cover saves.

The following conversation occurs right after the Zviezda gets scrapped...
Me: Expletive
Tim: well that's it. You win because Fire Crawler can't hold objective.
Me: Frontline
Tim: Ooooh. Sucks to be you eh?

Note to self...FireCrawler? Bad. Opposite side of table with big hill between your flimsy type1 AFV and said Firecrawler? Good

Personally I think you went to much wtith the Kollossi specially at 2000 AP I woudl have gone for either another type 2 strideres, add more type 1 or even go crazy and get another Hetman, and some mechanics...

Frontile with "only" 2 striders is a bit tough to win.... even without the Fire crawler
