Got my Demon Idol from Otherworld Miniatures in the mail today. Pretty much started right away cleaning the flash off it and filing down mold lines along his sides. I managed to get him Pinned and started carving the fire out of the bowl before my dremel's power cut out. Waiting on The battery to recharge now. THe base is pretty goopy but since it's a base I'm not worried about it. There was quite a bit of flash overall on this model and some really bad mold lines on his sides and under his arms. Nothing unfixable though.



The pinning was especially Odd because the way his arms are I had to make the pins shorter than I would like and have to force the hand over the second pin but once it's on it is pretty secure. It's the kind of thing that really needs pinning though.



I don't much care for the fire that came with him plus I have other more devious plans for that bowl.



I'm thinking a nice copper or copper to bronze color.

Alternately pile of skulls for more grim dark. Maybe one of those little babies from a King Cake. Also several companies make pretty nice fireball miniatures that would look better than the fire that was in there. The amount of terrible things I can think of to put in there will bring me hours of simple amusement.
