Changing a little on this message... Going to run this more as a blog for my orc conversions. I'm working on a few different things, so I figure I'll keep them all together.

As always, I'd love feedback.

Commissar is on hold just until I get a boy painted up... I want to make sure I know what I want to do before I start painting him.

Title pretty much tells it like it is.

One of my first attempts at greenstuff modeling. Turning out ok, I think.

Love to have feedback... I think.

Will post more once I get the GrotProd done and then when I paint him.

Update:

Now with the Grot Prod. I wanted a second wire, but just couldn't make it fit on there.

I think I'm about done with the mods... I'd like to find some sort of badge to put above the brim of the hat - most of the time it's an Aquila, but I want something orky. Need to clean up the arm with the Prod... it wasn't a perfect fit... Other than that... Anything else? I'm of the 'more is more until it's too much then you're screwed' school of thought when it comes to arts... I don't want to try too much and suddenly loose the feel of the figure.

I like the pose , if you can make the front's flap's sharper it'll look way better.

I tightend up the front flap on his right leg (left side as looking at him) at the corner... you're right Luna, that does look better. I had just put some more GS there to make it a bit smoother, then forgot to shape it. The other side is actually rolled backwards slightly, so I didn't mess with it too much.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Btw , the anticipation of what the missing prod arm look like is having the same effect as Venus de Milo lol

wow... Thanks

I'm not sure yet what I'm doing for him.. I was thinking a Terminator suit, but I'm not digging the size of the termie armour... I'm sorta leaning toward putting him in a dreadnaught armour... it's closer to the right size.. but who knows?

Put him in dread armour!

I had the same idea for a Warboss.

BTW Fantastic green-stuffing!

Keep it up!

New update on him.

Wonders if I should have this in the blog section? Wish I'd taken a couple earlier pics in progress...

Great pose with the gun behind his back. The only thing I don't like is the wiring on the grotprod - seems too thick to me.

Clang, absolutely.. it is. Two reasons for this:

1) It's orkish. I could see the Mekboy digging through a pile of junk, not finding anything thinner and just juicing the whole thing up using a thicker piece of material and saying 'good e'nuf'

2) I tried it with a thinner wire but had concerns about it keeping shape - it was just too small. So I dug through my pile of junk, found this thicker piece of material and said 'good e'nuf'

You could try putting one of the glyphs the boyz boxes have on the hat, or if that doesn't fit cut down the square to just the symbol and use that.

Next up - Starting a conversion of Killer Kans. Using sentinels. Not even remotely a new concept, but I had the models. They are pretty similar in stats, even though the sentinels are bigger.

Still orking it up a bit.. not close to done, but figured I'd get it up and maybe get some ideas. Need to armor the legs and give it more gubbinz.

Not real sure what's going on 'im. I've got a dread that has a big shoota and a scorcha. so I'm thinking about making these guys (3 in total) some anti-tank.

Wasn't going to put paint on the new Commissar until I'd done a test painting. They're Bloodaxe, so they are cleverly camouflaged. It's the second figure I've painted in about 10 years being away from the game. And I know I missed some mold lines. The barrels are usually drilled - I forgot this time..

Pictures are a little rough, but gets the idea across.
