Well, I'm going off to uni in 2 days, so I wanted to get the repaints done, which I did with the completion of this termi, and also wanted to finish a nob. So that's now done too. Anyway, after this, expect updates to be fewer and further inbetween, for obvious reasons. Of course, if I manage to find a decent club in Lethbridge, things may become even more accellerated...

Anyway, I'm going to be using my new cell-phone's camera from now on, since my old camera belongs to the parents, and my new camera... let's just say there's issues.
This thing won't get nearly as nice colour as the old one, sadly, so expect the quality of the pics to go down, sadly. I'll try my best though. At least the painting doesn't change.

UPDATE:
Some pics in a room with better lighting. It's a little bright since I didn't set it to flourescent, but it's better colour then above:

(this is an original one... I just think it looks awesome)

Also, the nob, Zogeye. While fighting against some Space Marines, a bolter shot was fired at him. Although the shot was aimed at his chest, he managed to block it with his head, but ended up losing his eye in the process. The bullet actually lodged itself in his brain, and thankfully hasn't exploded... yet...

Thoughts? C&C? Should I redo the rest of my GKs?

Negative Ghost Rider. Neither of these are based in any way, shape, or form. That means incomplete. Get cracking!

Grey Knight looks awesome so far. The Nob looks pretty good, too, despite the poorer picture quality. The PK looks pretty good. Base them and you'll have some nice minis there.

Well, considering what I did with my last Terminator, I have no choice but to base this guy. He just won't fit in with such awesome otherwise.

As for the Nob, he won't be getting any basing until the rest of the army is complete, which is... not soon Not even too sure about how I'll base my Orkz. My Eldar will get snow, my GK have grass/rocks/fieldy junk, but the Orkz? Fitting something Urban on there would be kind of hard, since Orkz tend to fill up a lot of the base to begin with...

Looking good... maybe you could go for a jungles or something along those lines? Or some sand in kinda a grey tone to make it look kinda like a destroyed city?

Do your worst. The first two were retakes, taken in the kitchen, where we have flourescent bulbs. My room was used for the other one, where even at the best light settings, my phone's camera can't compensate enough.

Well, the Nob looks a bit better, but the Green is way off still. It's much brighter/less bluey. Other colours look a lot better though.

The armour is mostly Vallejo Dark Sea Grey, with a little bit(very little) of Vallejo Glossy Black and GW Mithril Silver. It's then watered down considerably and applied liberally all over white primer.
After drying, the gold bits are then all done in Shining Gold, and the model is then washed with a mix of Vallejo Glossy Black and Glaze Medium.
Once that dries, all the details are painted in, and the model gets a final wash.
Lastly, the sword and eyes are painted with a mix of Regal Blue and Skull White, and the sword is drybrushed with Skull White.

I decided to not use the lighting effects that I used on my Grand Master, for 2 reasons:

1. Takes too freaking long, and lighting a base is mind numbingly frustrating.

2. When you think of a GK Grand Master, you think of someone who's psychic energies are overflowing, so much so that his NFW can't even contain it, spreading all around him, making Chaos itself fearful of his presence and illuminating the Galaxy around him against all that is evil. Doing that to every single GK kind of draws away from that.

White primer: The coat you put on the metal model after cleaning up mold lines and washing it with warm soapy water. It is so paint will stick.

Vallejo is a line of model paints. Not sure what the GW equivalents are to those 2 colors.

Codex Grey is probably the closest to Dark Sea Grey, but I don't know if it'll be spot on. It'll probably get the same effect though.

As for Glossy Black, Chaos Black will do fine. Only real difference between the two is that Chaos Black isn't as... Glossy.
