Hi all,

I am thinking through how to convert the Space Hulk nids so I can use them for both table top and space hulk. Currently the SH basing is too large for a normal TT base. I am trying to figure out some creative ways to slice and dice with magnets. The SM are easy to base to TT.

I'll post pics if I make any progress

stick magnets in/under the bases
drill into the feet of the spacehulk minis
insert small pieces of metal into the holes left
???
profit?

Problem is the nids bases are massively larger than table top and some are mounted very high.

My current solution is to magnetize them with the 'excess base' hanging off the back. Then if they are surrounded in assault, pull them off leaving just there base behind.

Remove the SH bases entirely and put them on smaller bases more compatible with magnetising to 25mm bases? Mmm, or remove/chop down the SH bases and simply glue them permanently to 25mm bases? - or would that muck up SH play? (I know that's not applicable with the termies as they need to be on 40mm bases for 40K)
