Now before I begin my rules are based on these facts: Firstly it is said that a custode is to a space marine as a space marine is to a normal man. The custodes are the emperors elite guard and where only ever seen in some of the largest battles in the great crusade and at the siege of Terra. They have access to the best and most ancient equipment the imperium can provide. The emperor also has 300 even more elite guard called the companions.

Custode
WS-5 BS-5 S-5 T-5 W-1 I-5 A-2 Ld-10 Sv 2+(3+)
Equipment: Artificer armor, Custodian spear, Storm shield, Frag and krak grenades
Rules: Fearless, Counter attack, Furious charge, Fleet

Companion
WS-5 BS-5 S-5 T-5 I-5 W-2 A-3 Ld-10 Sv-2+(3+)
Equipment: As custode
Rules: As custode

Centurion
WS-6 BS-5 S-5 T-5 W-3 I-5 A-3 Ld-10 Sv-2+(3+)
Equipment: As custode + centurion sword
Rules: As custode + Independent Character

Companion Centurion
WS-6 BS-5 S-5 T-5 W-4 I-6 A-4 Ld-10 Sv-2+(3+)
Equipment: As Centurion
Rules: As Centurion

Master Centurion
WS-6 BS-6 S-5 T-5 W-5 I-6 A-5 Ld-10 Sv-2+(3+)
Equipment: As Centurion + Master Sword
Rules: As Centurion + Eternal Warrior

Equipment:
Custodian Spear: This counts as a master crafted relic blade with in built master crafted bolter.
Centurion Sword: This counts as a master crafted power sword which always wounds on a 3+, Causes instant death on a roll to wound of a 6 and rolls 2d6 for armor pen.
Master Sword:This counts as a master crafted power sword which always wounds on a 2+, Causes instant death on a roll to wound of a 4+ and rolls 4d6 for armor pen.

They may only be played in an apocalypse battle totaling 10,000 points or over and only in this formation:

Custodian Strike Force
Composition:
2-4 Custodian squads (5 men)
0-2 Companion squads (5 men)
and any one of the following:
Centurion
Companion Centurion
Master Centurion (only in games of totaling 20,000 points or over)

Inspiring Presence: all friendly imperial units within 24" of the strike force leader are fearless, all other friendly imperial units which may draw a line of sight to the strike force leader are stubborn.

I would appreciate feedback and make changes accordingly, also I have no Idea what the points costs should be (to be balanced anyway) so any help would be appreciated.

Yes I agree they are OTT but these are the custodes and the points costs should obviously reflect how OTT they are.

Definately OTT...but looks like it would be really fun to play in friendly games. The costs given might be about right. Though that master sword is very much OTT.

I like them and I have respect for the creation of special characters because I make them all the time, that is the joy of Warhammer 40K and Fantasy. Now time for you to tackle the Primarchs, start with Lion El'Jonson

I know this is going to be Random and I presume that these are based on 4th or 5th edition rule set. Just to cause drama lol, 2nd Edition Kharne would slaughter them haha.

To be honest this is not Directed to you vodo40k at all it is for KommanderKurtikai,

I have a very simple, fitting and effective idea.
Run custodes as grey knights.
The GK list offers great compatability with the custodes, the weapons and wargear fit, the history and back stories fit.

Just an idea though

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor.

Do you know just how powerful Custodes are? These are the guys based off the Emperor's genetic template; Grey Knights are just based off the geneseed of the Marines from the Traitor Legions who stayed loyal to the Emperor, and look how powerful they are.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

Just to give you an idea of how uber custodes are, in the great crusade the emperor fought in a huge battle against orks. Out of his whole retinue only two companions died and the emperor himself carved their names onto his own armor so they could never be forgotten.

Just so you gentlemen are aware, Custodes are not apeshit slowed strong. Read a book. Preferably read Tales of Heresy in the short story that follows a young Custode. He cites the similarities to himself and the Emperor's warrior children, but admits a Custode is only minutely superior to a single Space Marine. And, he acknowledges, in a one-on-one fight their abilities would be equal. That being said, the abilities of the Grey Knights of 'today' would be equal to that of the Custodes.

Also, the Custodes are not made from the Emperor's genestock. They are enhanced humans, in a more personal procedure that differs several from the assembly line style of creation Space Marines were being produced in M30. But they are still just barely super-human, with enchancements not meant for large scale warfare (Marines) or daemonic war (Knights) but as personal guardians to Him.

and they are baddass politisions that even the high lords fear. Plus they have had 10,000 years to hone their skills. I would make the MC bolter a storm bolter, because assaulting is nice. Oh, and the fact that there are 10,000 of them left still. Movie Marines, meet movie CUSTODES! and the fact that they outnumber them 10-1 they can take on just about any force you throw at them. Them and three(?) SM chapters makes ground assult on Terra=BAD IDEA

Where does it say there are 10,000 Custodes remaining? I am under the impression there were never that many Custodes, and especially could not be after the likely losses they sustained during the Siege of Terra.

There are about 10,000 regular custodes each 100 led by a centurion, but only 300 companions who are the only ones in the entire imperium who are allowed to behold the emperor himself.

Its not a quote as such, and I got the info from various sources but I know why he has 300 companions obviously from the myth of 300 spartans.
