So what I'm thinking about is building a daemon list for fun using human based models. I don't want it to be an AdMech force as I don't really like the insanely heavy metal hybrid style. It's going be made using 99% GW models and I was thinking something along the following lines:

-Bloodletters: Catachan arms, Long Powerblades/Halberds w/backpack w/ greenstuff tubing running into either the wrists or the back of the neck
-Horrors: I'm thinking heavily armored (representing the improved invul.) w/heavy bolter esque or possibly burst cannon esque heavy weapons
-Plague Bearers: I'm thinking heavy servitor style w/treads for legs and saw/drill arms
-Daemon Princes: Heavy Combat Servitors. Probably based on dreadnought/sentinel mech styles
-Tzeentch Heralds on Chariots: I'm thinking Gun Heavy Servitors, Using a Necron Destroyer lower torso w/armored human top half. Combat grappling arms from the front of the repulsor w/heavy weapons on each arm of the torso.
-Flamers: This is one place where I get a little stuck. How do I represent jump basic infantry w/heavy flamer style weaponry. I've got 4 or 5 SM Termi Heavy Flamers that can be converted but i'm lost as to how to model jump troop basic infantry.
-Fiends: Some kind of arachnid style warmachine with multiple attack arms but i'm also lost as to a starting point on this.

So what do you guys think? Any ideas on how you would go about it? I'm going to be starting slowly, probably with the easiest conversions like the bloodletters and horrors.

Incorporate the Therians from AT-43? The Tiamat figure would make an awesome Daemon Prince conversion.

life.

flamer idea: servitor body, heavy flamers for arms (GSed to look melded in) with half of a jump pack (or cylinder shape) for "legs" = an anti-grav booster flamer.

I collect:

Grand alliance death (whole alliance)

Stormcast eternals

Slaves to Darkness - currently Nurgle but may expand to undivided.

This sounds like my idea for an adeptus mechanus army.

The horrors would have been Stormtroopers with insane looking lasguns, and some kind of energy field. and the dude with the bolt would have been a multimelta servitor. The other ideas seem solid. I suggest crazy looking bikers for fiends (or maybe some riders on some kind of spider thing, idk)

My Soulgrinder would have been a Huntsman Spider Tank (google it if you have no idea what it is) Sadly though, once I had a good look at the daemon codex I thought if I was going to play daemons, they would be daemons.

Still, I wish you luck!
