Meltas on every single special weapon slot available seems a bit excessive to me. Think of horde opponents, add some flamer somewhere. The ones you can put on the chimeras are a start, but I would go further and introduce them into your vetsquads.

Swapped heavy bolters for heavy flamers on the chimeras. For hordes, I am really counting on the 5 plasma cannon templates and 2 lrbt templates to work them over. The flamers on the chimeras cant hurt. I really want to keep the meltas, as there is so much armor in my metagame. Very few tyranid players, and the orks are mechanized. Meltas for the battlewagons, templates for the squishy green orks that pile out. None of the tournaments i play in (other than 'ard boyz) allow deff rollas to hit vehicles, so I will make chimera roadblocks and do work. The heavy flamers will be nice for softening them up a bit more. I can then run back 12" and hit them with the templates on my turn.

Looks pretty good.
Not each army can deal with that many vehicles.
I'd drop Marbo and add some Officers to the Cmd squad.

Heavy flamers can put a horriffic dent in hordes, its good that you put them on your chimeras. You will want to be moving them close anyway so you will usually be in flamer range.

I agree with dropping marbo for officers. An Ootf and a astropath gives you an autowin against demons and drop-pod armies and generally helps against outflankers and Deepstrikers. I wouldnt leave home without them.

If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live?

So no Vendettas?

How would you squeeze in some Vendettas?
They are much more expensive than Chimeras.

Well yeah they would have to replace something else like those two Lemans... but then you wouldn't have your templates.

Dropping all Heavy Stubbers, a Meltagun (Command Squad) and the Executioner could get you 2 Vendetta's couldnt it? Id say that would be an improvement but then I think the Executioner is a lot of points for one target.

They way I run vets with vendettas looks something like this:

Vet Squad (2x Flamer, Heavy Flamer, Demolitions)
Vendetta w/ Heavy Bolters

Maybe it is not ideal, but it feels like a troop choice able to put the hurt on any target you point them at.

I think a good mech vets list will still keep two squads in chimeras in the back to zip around and grab objectives.

Also, three words: Manticores.

Q: How many of a specific demographic group are required to carry out a simple task?
A: An arbitrary number. One to carry out the task in question, and the remainder to act in a manner stereotypical of the group.

I'd drop a Russ.

I'd also drop the Lascannon from the Executioner. You're slinging 5 plasma cannons around with it. If you shoot something that the Lascannon is actually good at damaging, you're giving up the 5 shots that make the 230pt plasma death tank worth it. Just let it roll with the PCs everywhere.

At 1500pts I'd probably drop a Vet squad, or at least a Chimera.

Master of Ordnance misses every time he shoots, so he isn't worthwhile.

With the points saved, snag a pair of Vendettas. This brings a mobile element to the army and provides decent long range AT fire. I'd put the CCS in one of them (let their Chimera roll around empty and give cover saves to your other Chimeras) and a unit of Vets in the other one.
