Here is a list I whipped up for a small mechanized Black Templar force:

HQ:
Emperor’s Champion, Accept Any Challenge no matter the odds – 140pts

Castellan w/Bolt Pistol, Powersword and Iron Halo – 106pts

Reclusiarch w/Bolt Pistol, Holy Orb – 106pts

TROOPS:
9xInitiates, Bolt pistols/Close Combat Weapons, Powerfist and Meltagun
Rhino w/Smoke – 222pts (EC Rides here)

9xInitiates, Bolt pistols/Close Combat Weapons, Powerfist and Meltagun
Rhino w/Smoke – 222pts (Marshal Rides here)

9xInitiates, Bolt pistols/Close Combat Weapons, Powerfist and Meltagun
Rhino w/Smoke – 222pts (Chaplain Rides here)

HEAVY SUPPORT:
Predator Annihilator w/Lascannon Sponsons, smoke – 148pts

Simple, straight forward.

I think you'll find more success if you diversify your Heavy Support. I like Vindicators, MM Landspeeders, and H Bolter Attack bikes.

I am in agreement with bigduncm24 about liking Vindicators. With all those Vehicles charging up, a Vindi might be nice. A large blast is great vs. Orks too.

Having vindicators instead of preds would allow you to upgrade your rhinos with extra armor too. May not be needed but it is a thought.

Well, I have thought about changing the list to the following:

HQ:
Emperor’s Champion, AAC – 140pts

Castellan w/BP, PS and Iron Halo – 121pts

Reclusiarch w/BP and Holy Orb - 106ps

Elites:
1xVenerable Dreadnought - Drop pod - 155pts

TROOPS:
3x9xInitiates, BP/CCW, PF and Meltagun, Rhino w/Smoke and Extra armor – 681pts

HEAVY SUPPORT:
2xPredator Annihilator w/Lascannon Sponsons, smoke – 296pts

total: 1499pts!

How does this look now!?! Each HQ rides with the 9 initiates in the Rhino's. The dread drops in and tries to work in conjunction with the Initiates and adds additional anti-infantry firepower where needed. The predator's take down armored targets. Troops rush forward, pop smoke and pray, before getting out and stuck into combat, with the powerfist and meltagun to help them bring down tough targets.

Sound solid??
