Could we have one, so that people using dakka could just look at their part of the world and identify nearby clubs or regular events locations?

World map, zoom into country, zoom into state/county, zoom into city/region - list as mapped by dakkites with mebbe contact details.

Posts on a club get consumed by age to the old pages and are possibly out of date.

The idea has been bounced around before and tried on a few other wargaming sites in the past, but the main problem always comes down to people not adding information to it, it getting buried with invalid data or spam, or people just not paying attention to its existence. As such, while it would be a cool tool to have, it would require a full time global group of people to maintain it, and would be more effort that I am interested to put in. There are a few google map mashups out there right now that do just this, and I cant remember which site it was, but one of the other major wargaming forums actually has this but does not gain much success from it as I understand it.
