As title, post the builds you run your nobs in. Nob bikers, nobs in a trukk, max squad in a battlewagon, anything. In an upcomming game I plan to run a five man Nobs mob, and am setting a 200 point budget for it. I came up with: Painboy, Nob with bosspole, Nob with WAAAGH banner, nob with PK, normal nob, all cybork. (I tried running a bare bones Nob group against my friend, but his terminator squad wiped them out, and they were just normal terminators, power fists and one Power weapon, I really don't want to face that again without some kind of powerfist/weapon.) Edit: Don't stick yourself into a 200 points limit though, that's just something I'm doing. (I think it's really impossible to fit nob bikers into 200 points lol)

If your doing this to kill termies then dont waste points.
Due to great saved and fists termies do pack a pretty nasty punch, and you shouldnt throw the expensive nobz into a grinder in hope they will win.
Best bet: Try something like a SAG.
They are fairly costy (100 or so in total) and are prone to malfunction, but a single hit could solve all problems.
Failing that, avoid them if possible, or throw a large mob of boyz at them to tarpit them.
But if you want to take nobz:
Transport: wagon, dont use a trukk as they get blown up far too easily.
Weapons: Never take more than half with klaws, you need some attacks 1st to thin units.
Things like big choppas help to no end for this.
Painboy is essential.
Waaagh! banner works wonders once they hit combat.
Maybe even a kombi-skorcha or 2 for thinning out units 1st.

Hmm, ic, so they shouldn't be charging elite infantry then, gotcha. (I was thinking more though, of if they got charged by elite infantry, gotta have a backup plan if something weird happens.) What's your opinion on cybork btw? (and for just normal nobs for friendly games, you think a 200 point limit is alright?)

I'm a fan. I used 'eavy armor until my opponents figured out that things like melta guns could wound on a 2, ignore 'eavy armor, take both wounds at once (Instant Death), and disregard FNP. At least cybork gives you a chance.

Cybork bodies are a must, with the pain dok, 2 power klaws and bikes. I love the build because they're fast, tough as nails and a troop selection with the warboss. But if your going for foot slogging nobs, its up for alot of play testing. Well a Trukk load of nobs could drive up with combi-skorcha's and take out mobs of most light infantry infantry. Trukks are fun for me because there orky, and if you have 6 mega nobs in a trukk no one suspects it. And will usually go unnoticed if in your casual games (like mine) I don't look at their list. And they aren't point sinks like BW.
A single combi-skorcha in my experience has killed an 8 man squad of tau firewarriors. totally earning its points 16 fold!
But for a basic reliable nob ten man squad. Without question:
Warbikes
Paindok
Cybork Bodies
Waaaaagh! Banner
2 power klaws
4 combi-skorcha's
They're expensive, to make them reasonable:
Take out the bikes. Replace them with 'Eavy Armour

Cybork is a must in most cases.
All in all, avoid termies at all costs unless you cant help it.
Throwing 30 boyz with a bosspole and klaw nob at them instead will either work 1 of 2 ways.
1: they will hold them up for 3 turns or so, effectively putting them out of the game.
2: the boyz will kill them through sheer number of attacks.
as for 200 points limit, i tend to go over that alot.
5 nobz i would take (in transport)
Nob, cybork, klaw, kombi skorcha
Nob, cybork, klaw, waaagh! banner
Nob, cybork, big choppa, kombi skorcha
Nob, cybork, big choppa, bosspole (unless you take a warboss)
Painboy, cybork
Costly unit, but you need to pick your fights well.
Keep away from power weapons (they will kill you quickly)
Avoid fists / klaws (they will really kill you quickly)
Only time i would break those previous things is if i would be attacking 1st against a small unit with poor armour.
(ie: 5 man guard unit with a power or fist in it)

I have to disagree with the 'always take cybork' idea. If you're running them in a battlewagon, I always take 'eavy armor. They're protected by the BW, so you don't have to worry about them until the BW blows up. Other than that, you have to know what your nobs can't charge. Termies, banshees, anything with lots of power weapons/powerfists. With the orks you want to have your basic horde troops going up against they're elite troops, those fancy attacks mean nothing if they're only negating a 6+ save. Your nobs want to tear through you opponent's more basic infantry choices, as they will massacre nearly any squad that doesn't involve power weapons/fists.
My loadout would look like this
5 Nobs
-PK
-Waagh! Banner (necessary in all nob squads)
-Uge Choppa
-Bosspole
-Painboy (necessary in all nob squads)
-'eavy armor
That should be 210 points I think, a little over but they're nobs, they're going to be expensive.

Well, I wasn't saying you had to keep the squad under 200 points, but as far as princible I think this is about the same as the squad I was thinking of running, only yours are 'ard nobz instead of cyborks, and include some big choppas. *sigh* if only they could take burnas......hangon, 5 in a battlewagon, leaves space for 15 more guys.....15 burna boyz? lol, 35 power weapon attacks! (edit: or 14 or so template hits before you charge)

'eavy armor is a useless upgrade and cybork bodies with feel no pain makes for nice saves and if your going for a maxed squad size only take 2 power klaws =), I shred termmies btw

Just wondering Krubb, What termies did you shred? Thundershield termies can't be shredded that easy.
Yes, you could move to the tank and embark em as long as every single model of the unit is 2 inches away from door /access point
my take on 200 points... impossible if it's nobs... possible if it's burna boyz...
12 burna boyz and a trukk from something else (reg boyz or smthing), total of 215 basic...
Regular termies, just move drop and charge, and win coz it's all power weapon. if it's thundershield termies, stay in vehicle, drive by, angle it right and flame those 12 shots.... I can tell that your opponent gonna give you THE LOOK!!! coz the termies won't survive... Prob 1..... nah, not even
