I am trying to get into layering and blending a bit more. I have been watching youtubes about wet blending, but the GW colors dry too fast for my pace of painting, not allowing me to blend properly. I have a friend that uses some kinda liquid that keeps the paint from drying too fast. but im not about to go and buy some of that.
you can can acrylic retarder from any decent art shop - probably cheaper as you get loads.
Check out my gallery here Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!
Look for Liquitex products. They do matte medium, drying retarders and all kinds of good stuff for mixing with acrylics.
Can I suggest skipping forward 10 years to the age where you don't really care about what people say on the internet. Studies show that it decreases your anger about life in general by 37%. - Flashman
I've almost always blended whenever I can, and have only heard of this stuff recently. I'd like to know the results people have gotten using it (ie how much easier it made their painting lives ).
