So I've been thinking about it and i figured out what to do for my objective markers. I decided to make 3 markers with my interpretation to three of the artifacts of vulkan . First is the Eye of Vulkan, what i decided to do was take an auspex and add a purity seal to the handle. nex i decided to make the "unbound flame" and i took a melta bomb and added a purity seal to that too. last one i did was the "chalice of fire" and i took a vehicle melta gun and added a purity seal to it. but to make them more... ancient looking i decided to give them pillars that are Romanesque . made out of marble and made the items look like thy were floating above the pillar.

sorry for no pix.. lemme look for some batteries for my camera

They look like power ups in a videogame to me.

I'll reserve judgment until they're painted, but they look alright for a start.

just a small update right now.. so i let my green stuff dry.. then painted them black this afternoon.. took the weapons off the stands so i can detail them better. Shortly i'm gonna give the columns the look of marble and after that im gonna hunt around for some batteries so i can take a few pix.

I think I get where you're going with these, but the pillars really need to be redone. They look pretty bad. They are off center and the tops and bottoms are jagged and disproportionate.
They don't represent the artistry found in Imperial architecture at all.
