Subject: finally getting back into gaming after a lengthy hiatus

after a lengthy break from painting,converting and gaming, i recently decided to go up into my attic and dust off my old miniatures for a revamp.
i had previously built a 3000 points ork goff army ,but most of my mini's had been plundered by friends looking for free bitz. so i have been left with little over 1000 points of da boyz and am currently in the middle of repainting them to fit a bad moon theme. most of these miniatures however are just the boyz as all my vehicles (including 2 impressive scratch built battlewaggons)and dreads etc. have been plundered, which means i am now franticly trying to buy some of the newer ork mini's to make my army a bit more accessable(as an army full of footslogging orks doesn't always do so well against any army with even medium firepower).
i am also in the midst of a mass repaint of a fairly large ultramarine army i started when i was about 11 , so the quality of the painting wasn't all that good, and i thought that it would be a good way to get back into the swing of painting after such a long break from 40k.
