Eldar maugan ra joins a unit of harlequins with shadowseer.

Q#1: Does maugan ra benefit from the veil psychic power? Is he also treated as the same as the harlequins during the opposing players shooting phase? (2d6 x 2)

Q#2 If he does not gain the benefit of the veil (being an IC and all) can he be targeted during the opponents shooting phase? How is targeting him resolved?

I've seen people question it, but I don't recall anyone ever actually debating it past the quoting of the actual rule.

Exactly. So the PLs are free to join them. Granted their cool Exarch Powers won't do squat for them.

Which means that Maugan Ra loses nothing since none of his powers can affect a squad anyway. They are both powers that only affect the model with the power.

Why is that? They are independent characters. Their Exarch powers just don't work; they can still join the unit.

Kitz - PL may not join Aspect Warrior squads not of their own Aspect. Harlies arent aspect warriors so there isnt an option there, however you cannot join a Fire Dragon PL to a unit of scoorpions, as an example.
