Hi guys, I'm new to the forums and gettin back into 40k after a few years off and just needed some advice from a pretty good 40k community!!! I have built this army list and so far I'm liking the look and the play style however I'm at a loss where to put my last points!

Optimally I'd like a fast attack (buggies or koptas) so i can sweep up a side and tie up / weaken one of the enemies flanks but at the same time is one squad of fast attack even enough or will it just be shot to pieces. If i decide not to go with a fast attack i was thinking of just adding some Tankbustas or Scorchas to the mid force just to add some extra punch or even throw in a squad of Gretchin to sit near the Loota's granting them a cover save and protection from any units that wish to engage... advice is much appreciated and thank you all in advance!!!

- Big Mek w/ Kustom Force Field and 'eavy armour (90)
- 15x Lootas (175)
- 20 Shoota boyz w/ Nob, Power Klaw and bosspole (160)
- 20 Shoota boyz w/ Nob, Power Klaw and bosspole (160)
- 3x Killa Kans w/ 2 rokkits, 1 big shoota (130)
- 3x Killa Kans w/ 1 rokkit, 2 big shootas (125)

This leaves me a total of 840 points, so with 160 points left what should i do... also i don't mind taking more big shoots on the Kan's or lowering the number of Loota's if it allows me to squeeze in something essential that i overlooked.

If I were you I'd take a 14 Loota squad, or another Kan slot.

Your running a Kan wall so maybe you should forget fast attack, Orks are best at committing 1000% to a single overall strategy.

Another suggestion is have you thought of taking a Battle-Wagon kitted out as a tank/gun platform?

Stick the Big Mek in there and you increase the size of the KFF bubble, and therefore the wall, add av 14 as an obstacle, and it means you can shave the eavy armour off the Mek as he's riding in a tank. True if it gets shot down there goes a large points value, but kitted out the BW gets a lot of weapons to fire which is essential to shooting orks.

Also littlenibbler Orks aren't about armour saves.
Orks are about having too many models on the table, and wasting the other guy's time with your movement phase.
Orks are about having the toughest units on the table.
Orks are about not caring about how many bodies are left in a long winding trail until the squad is down to less than a third its starting strength.
Orks are about rolling more dice then you can count without the aid of a calculator or a pen and paper.
Orks are about having totally fething insane characters tearing gak down like Doc Grotsnik, Ghazghkull or Snikrot.
Orks are about being too fething awesome to die...

3 units of 30 boyz work best but 3 of 20 could work. oh and big shootaz on the boys with rokkits on the kans for tank killing. 1 more big mek could not hurt for another KFF to help your kan wall march froward.

Hmmm, your Kans are mixed and matched, why? They should be all rokkits or all KMB, so that when the squad picks a target they won't have wasted shots.

Everything else looks fine though. You could add Big Shootas to the boyz mobs, but it isn't neccicary. Big Mek dosn't 'need' armor, but I can understand sticking it on him.

Thank you so much for the advice guys, much appreciated. To be honest i sometimes forget the Kan's are in a squad!!! so yeah I will def. put the same weapons on each squad (thanks for pointing it out). I'm certainly done with the idea of adding a fast attack thanks to your tips and now the debate falls on whether I'll be taking a Battlewagon for the Mech + guns or more Boyz / Loota's. Also I will be putting big shootas on the boyz depending on the remaining points.

More boyz!

40 shoota boyz may seem like a lot, but a third squad of sluggas could do nicely as a charge deterant (edit: or some boyz in a rokkit trukk might be worth it). then shoot with both shoota squads, Waaagh and run the sluggas into whatever you shot at. (or more shootas would be cool too)

give the killer kans grotzookas (well the rokkit ones). their s6 and it fires 2 blast markers + their 5 points cheaper than rokkit launchas.

This forum needs a +1 heh. But I agree with the above. The grotzookas are worth their weight in grot.

"Definition: 'Love' is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope. Statement: This definition, I am told, is subject to interpretation. Obviously, love is a matter of odds. Not many meatbags could make such a shot, and fewer would derive love from it. Yet for me, love is knowing your target, putting them in your targeting reticle, and together, achieving a singular purpose, against statistically long odds." ~ HK-47

I'll say more boyz too. 3x30 minimum for a footslogging army.

PROSECUTOR: By now, there have been 34 casualties.

The kans are better with Rokkits or KMBs, makes use of the 4+ to hit and if a kan is close enough to use template then an assault will be WS 2 Vs. 3 or 4, and PFs/PKs will cause kan losses.

Not to say the grotzooka is a bad thing, its just that you should always maximise the opportunities where your shooting isn't a foregone conclusion.
