I'm still unsure about these 2 - I've had a look at IG and it'll burn a hole in my pocket - so to that end I'm looking for advice on collecting Space Wolves vs Eldar, I've heard it said that SPace Wolves are one of the tactically challenging Marine armies going - which doesn't phase me as I know I'd be a pleased owner and could put a force together quick enough once i got started. BUT I've never played ELdar B4 and they look good - all those Jet Bikes and Aspect Warriors seem to need a very wiley hand to play well and I'm not sure about the models - but I'm still not suer about playing Imperial.

Any hoo I may be making up my mind by writiing this - I just don't want to fall into the trap of going for the latest releases just out of curiosity.

Thanks for any input.

I'd opt for Eldar despite the fact that a new SW codex will appear soon and they will surely get some nice models.
Eldar have a larger variety of playable models and they can be played mech, semi-mech, and footslogging.
All playstyles are competitive.

yeah, Eldar have so much potential variety going for them, particularly in colour scheme, theme and composition, however so do Space Marines...

personally after trying both SW's and Eldar, I had to go back to my Space Wolves ( I love those guys!) and personally I found them easier and more fun to paint.

If price is one of your big issues I'd say Eldar are the best out of them or SW's (atm anyway, you may wanna wait til the Space Wolves have their new 'dex before making you mind up?) due to their large amount of plastic models, however Space Marines are also good to the price end - especially since they will often have less models...

My opinion: ditch em' both and go for you own Space Marine chapter... above all though, follow you heart (cheesy I know)

Wolves are going to be interesting because you'll be able to have lists of 20-25 models at 1500, and 1 tank at most. They should be straight forward enough, as long as you get someone from a GW or hobby store to help you choose your fist models from the range, and their upgrades and such.

...one amongst untold billions.

No I'm pretty sure I'll be going for DArkelves - they can play stright out the box, they're quick and they're mean and the Darklance just looks to cool to miss out on.

For clarification, Eldar and Dark Eldar are different armies. I say this based on above quote.

Yeah that i know i've ordered both eldar and dark eldar codices an they should be here in a couple of days - the reason i keep changing my mind is just me working the novelty factor out.
