The idea is that it takes extra effort and time to write properly, and they’d rather save the time. If you can still be understood, what’s the harm? While most of the time a sloppy post CAN be understood, the use of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling is generally seen as respectable and desirable on most forums. It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.

I was referring to all girl bands. Redbeard you named two of my favorites. Joan Jett came from the Runaways.
I like Kitty... pretty much heavy metal punk pock. I also like the lead singer for Heart and her sister... Barracuda (s&p?) is pretty awesome. Their is another band from Japan called Maximum the Hormone that has a female vocAlist - you should check them out, they have a great sense of humor and their music is all over the place. Going way back I was always a big fan of Donna Summers and ABBA.
Pretty much this thread is supposed to be about all girl bands but any chick that made their fortune on the air waves is cool by me. Madonna is one of my all time favorite recording artists and I still love Pat Benetar. She was trained for opera and was discovered at a singing waitress bar.

The Bangles were awesome before they sold out and went top 40/mainstream. I saw them in concert prior to the change... their original music had a Beatles-euqse sound that I really liked a lot. I think they had a song entitled When the Hero Takes a Fall... that was what I liked.
I am a big fan of Arch Enemy... The vocals are just amazing really, it's hard to be such a tiny girl can belt it out like that.
