Hey I live in weare and im just getting back into fantasy after a two year hiatus. Is there anyone around intrested in playing a game somewhere. The only place i know near by is granite state games and hobby in Concord. Also is empire games still around? I have tried to find evidence of it around online but have found none.

Hi there, I'm a fellow Warhammer player and live right nearby in Hopkinton. Currently I'm not free to play games until my work schedual salitifies a bit more but the least I can do is point you in the right direction for local places to play.

Concord has two shops available Granite State as mentioned and also the venerable Collectibles Unlimited which is currently located at 25 south street by the federal court house. Granite State is fairly new and doesn't have any sort of set tournaments for GW games yet, and on the opposite end Collectibles has been running less and less events. This isn't to say that there isn't interest in the area however, we'll just have to see how things progress in the coming months to see where the best place to play is in Concord. Neither shop has an activly updated webpage.

If you feel like a bit of a hike Triple-play is located in Lebanon which is a straight shot up I-89. While only boasting 4 tables the people there are friendly and they have the occasional tournament. They will also be hosting a 1st round qualifier for the Warhammer Fantasy 'Ard Boyz at the end of this month. For more info check out the shops page & forums at: http://www.tripleplaynh.com

Dover is a ways off but has a wonderful gaming group which meets every friday night whom I've had the pleasure of being a part of during my 4 years attending UNH. They run a good number of events but unlike the bulk of other locations in NH they have a VERY steady gaming night turnout and have a decent amount of space with 5 tables. It's a bit of drive to play pick-up games but it's worth it for a tournament every now and then. You can check out the shops forums for more info at: http://www.elitehobbiesonline.com

Londonderry also boasts the Game Castle (aka Joe's Games) which has a strong gaming group with tournaments run at least once a month. The shop has a good number of tables and plenty of space. Again its primary failing is the time it takes to get there. The Game Castle is also the second location that will be holding a 1st round qualifier for the Warhammer Fantasy 'Ard Boyz. More information and the shops forums can be found at: http://www.thegamecastle.com/

Once you go over the border into Mass there are a few more shops and groups of note but I think this should get you started for now. I'll post any other useful info I come across.

P.S. - I think that Empire games closed but may have re-opened under a different name. Not sure as I've been on the seacoast attending school for the past 4 years.
