Guard Heavy Weapon Crewman

Heya Guys, I'm new to Dakka and just wanted to say hello and get to see how posting works. I first got into wargaming back in highschool in 2002. The moment I saw the Space Wolf Grey Hunters I was in love with 40k. Anyways, now I'm a senior in college and am almost finished with my first army: The Imperial Guard. Right now, my guard force is sitting just below 2k points and I'm waiting on the funds to buy 2 valks and a few more infantry boxes. My old Space Wolves, crudely painted yet nostalgic, are still sitting on my hobby desk.
For the Emperor!

Thanks for the posts guys. I'll try and get some pics up, I don't really have a great camera at the moment. My guard are cadian, painted dark red with grey fatigues. I'm basically machining out my infantry squads and taking time on my officers/commissars/tanks and painting them to the best standard I can.
