In my Black Templar squad I am finally adding an assault squad. My question is =

Do I run a 5 man squad w/ Melta bombs and a Rec Chaplain w/ twin Lightning claws

or

Drop the Chappy and add either more assault troops or add a second Landspeeder w/ heavy flamer and melta?

The second choice is likely to be better.

What does your list look like now? That may help us give you a better answer.

5 man assault squads are not going to do much. Even with a chaplain adding the re-roll, your still horribly, horribly exposed with shooting.

2 is the better idea IMO.

If you are like most BT players and use the Accept Any Challenge vow, chaplains become pretty useless. If that is the case, drop the chappy for sure in exchange for more troops.

Are there really other vows?
