Just got my new pred for my BA.
Now i have a problem.
I allready have a Baal on the way, so this time i want to go with a different pattern.
Which should i go for?
TL lascannon + las x2
or
autocannon + HB x2
Or, should i do a mix of both?

Why not magnetize?
However, if I had to make it permanent Id run autocannon + 2 lascannons. It really depends on your other heavy support options. You say you have a baal on the way which will give you 10 S5 or 6 shots already.
The twin-linked lascannon + 2 lascannon sponsons setup is too expensive. Youre paying ~35 pointsish to lose 2 S7 Ap4 shots to gain a single twin linked S9 ap2 shot. Not worth it. The sponsons are good because they still keep the cost relatively low and you are not sacrificing anything for them.

Just a quick note here, but las sponsons for a BA pred are 60 points lol

Not sure exactly what your point is. Its 30 points more than the heavy bolter sponsons (the cheapest way to run the pred), and 35 points less than a tri-las pred. It's middle of the road.

What i was getting at here is that the TL las is 35 points, and re-rolls hits.
sponson las work out at 30 points.
For that extra 5 points you can pretty much know it will hit each turn.
However, this pred will be a somewhat expensive all las
ill be buying a few moer for when i need to change (plan on a 5k BA army which i can take parts from to play games with)

Yes but the predator needs sponsons to be effective.
So you can either have:
Autocannon + HBs - 95
Autocannon + LCs - 130
TL Las + HBs - 130
TL Las + LCs - 165
The first one is anti horde, which the Baal does better with its 10 high Strg shots (with rending).
The second is my recommendation, as it can easily take down light transports, while still going after heavier tanks/MCs. It still has 4 shots which can help against AP4.
The third is just...awkward. Doesnt fit together at all.
The fourth is just too expensive, and youre paying 35 points to lose an AC to gain a single TL lascannon.

Tri-las preds are pretty dangerous but with the current price for the TLLC turret they are just too expensive.
I have a squadron of three that I like to field against superheavies but I don't use them otherwise.

Just run the standard bargin 85 point auto 2x Bolter set up. I think in terms of making a versitle pred the Twin Laz 2x heavy Bolter set up is the way to go. But its just not worth the points. Sadly the Cheapest way to get mass laz cannons is to take a Devy sqaud with 4 Laz and they are harder to kill than 1 pred.
10 Man Devie 170
4x Laz cannons 140
310 for 2x 5 man 2x Laz cannon units.
or
230 for 1x 5 man 4x Laz cannon.
But its way cheaper with rockets.
by another 60 points.

10 man dev squad - 190
4 lascannons - 140
BA are slightly more expensive on allmost every standard unit lol.
Like a standard pred with HB sponsons is 95 points.
Also, dev. squads tend to be rather weak, small arms fire will take them down pretty quickly, and with 4 of the same weapon wound allocation kills them pretty badly.
4 missile launchers just dont do the job of the las.
Not able to really hurt AV14.
they are more of an intermediate tank + troop killing unit.
However, i am tempted to take 4 plas cannons, i know they are weaker, but thier anti-troop is 1 of a kind in a BA army
Failing this, ill possibly just spend the points on assault squads and go for a death-charge layout for the army.
However, depending on how good the space pups are in CC this may or may not work.
