Would it be possible to make an Ork Battlewagon out of a Land Raider and still have it be Legit for tourneys? If so could someone give me some ideas/imput or even pics. Thanks

Learn your google-fu young one. As for leaglity, as long as it is wsywig and built with the proper weapons you can't miss.

Prior to the battlewagon kit release, several zillion modellers did exactly this, and some of them were excellent. The GW battlewagon is a bit narrower, but otherwise similar dimensions, so I doubt any tourney will refuse to let you play with a converted land raider. But a good conversion will be a lot of work, so simply buying a battlewagon is much easier.

WYSIWYG means 'what you see is what you get' - in conversion terms, it means you should make the effort to have your converted land raider look like it now has the stats of a battelwagon, e.g. the reduced armour, different weapons etc

You COULD just turn it into a looted wagon...

Not much love being shown for them (apparently), but the Boomgun you can take on them is marginally better than the Killcannon (not by much, mind) on the battlewagon. Find an old Basilisk gun and go nuts!
Unless you wanna really get the most out of the transport capacity, that is...

I almost always agree with Albatross, I can't see why anyone wouldn't.

Okay, so the male version of "Cougar" is now officially "Albatross".

Here is a pic of my BW based off a land raider:

Shot with some other orky vehicles looted off other Imperial frames:

the key (in my opinion) is to make the land raider actually look looted/damaged, like the orks salvaged it: shell marks, bullet holes, blasted open hatches, etc., etc. Then add orky glyphs, plates, weapons, etc., etc.
