I'm not convinced that Eltharion is worth taking - at least not with Stormwing, but then, YMMV. As it is right now, I feel like too many points are invested in Characters with not enough points being put into units that can counter-charge in case something makes it to your lines after magic is done with.

No Scrolls? Teclis has his Sigil of Asuryan-like ability, but it's nice to have that extra scroll for assurance.

Is that BSB running naked? Or DA + GW? Eitherway, I feel like the BSB would be better served carrying a different banner and just giving the BoS to the PG standard bearer.

Those Swordmasters should be at 7.

For the points, I'd rather 2 Eagles over those Reavers. They're just overall better.

I don't own GW eagles, so I can't use them in tournaments. So I've gotta entrust my war machine hunting and march blocking to things like Reavers and Shadow Warriors.

I was weighing the odds of dropping Eltharion for another Archmage, but I felt I needed another hard hitting combat unit so I decided to go with Eltharion, since he still counted as a lvl 2 mage as well. He's very versatile in his ability to cast magic, hunt war machines, terror bomb, and wreck small units and flanks.

I'm not to concerned about needing any scrolls. I've got 8-10 dispell dice a turn with this build, and a scroll that has the ability to destroy the spell it shuts down. Only other high magic dedicated lists are gonna cause trouble for me, and if it starts getting troublesome then I can get some Drain Magic into play.

I was considering going magic heavy as well but I was going to go a little more heavy than you with teclis and a levl 4 mage witha the book of hoeth. Take the banner of sorcery in the pheonix guard unit and you now have 2 wizards that cast with irrisitable force on any double that generate 10 + 2d3 power dice and 6 + 1d3 dispel dice.

Bury both teclis and archmage in the pheonix guard. I like adding in Korhil to make the unit stubborn but may consider Caradyn so that when the inevitable bloodthirster charges I put some wounds on it as he dies and potentially kills the thing.

As for the army above I assume you are doing this for ard boyz in which cae i think you need to consider the following:

2 bloodthirsters I am not sure your list above has an answer to this.

Stegadon spam: Again killing lots of big griblies seems tough.

Dark elf 1-2 dragons, 2-3 hydras.

Huh? Sounds very narrow-minded of the TO to only allow GW-models! Unless the tournaments you patricipate in are arranged inside a GW store I'd say use whatever model you'd like as long as it is WYSIWYG.

The Ard Boyz tournaments are GW-sponsored, and require GW models.
