I am having some trouble with the Biovore models. When I go to order one from the Web, I always stop and wonder what model I'll get. Will I get the dumb long barrel Biovore? Or will I get the gorilla-like version (the one I want)? Anyone know how to tell which one I'll get?

I think the latest version of the model is the "gorilla" shaped one. So that's the one you should recieve.

I'm going to refrain myself asking why you are wasting your cash with biovores instead of more fexes...

I love the previous edition one (short barrel) But alas, bio's get screwed over by the rules now a days :(
Meaning in effect they are a waste of points.
also, going my the topic the other day, if the spore mine does not explode by hitting the target, and then dies later, its worth a killpoint.
Meaning a bad scatter or 2 could lose you the game.

From a model point of view they look great though and ive allways liked the models.
The origional one looked great aswell, but the new one looks like gak.

I don't know what I'm more ashamed about. Not getting the fexes as Lukas83 reckons I should, or spelling Biovore wrong in the Subject box.

That newer model is hideous. Its gun looks like a dick and balls.

I wouldn't worry about either. I myself have played around with biovores and liked them (it's not that biovores are that bad, it's just that fexes are so much better). But yes the KP issue is a problem.

Honestly tim, biovored are fethed these days
the fex is 1,000x more effective at any job you need done.
If you want a change then grab some thropes
2+ save, goood tank killing abilities and help to no end in a swarm army

But with a new dex round the corner biovores are gonna be awesome and everyone will be putting their fexes back on the shelves.

Ie - Bloodcrushers, amazing unit, amazingly expensive


I would predict that the fex will get hit with a price hike and less options.

If the KP issue with bio's gets sorted then i will be taking them again (like i used to in 4th)

Lictors need something to make them survive longer, since they tend to die too quickly

Tyrant is nerfed in this dex, it needs to be around 250 points and better than a fex by miles, since of course, its the leader of the fleet, and one of the weakest MC's in this edition

There is talk of a plastic gargoyle and ravs, but thats just talk so far.

New battleforce is also going around, may be true, may be false, depending on where the rumor came from.

Warriors also need a nice boost, since they are somewhat nerfed yet again.


Thats all i know and want from new nids
allthough, the previous edition tyrant guard would be better than the current things

Well I think my opinions are pretty similar to yours. I guess in my comment above I was just being cynical.

I think alot of people want better bio's
If they got rid of the KP problem i would take them again, since i tend to hate these nidzilla spam armies
(ill take 2 fex's max, and a tyrant)

Speaking of which, when is this possible 'Nid release coming? And I'm not really called Tim, it's a typo.

It's supposed to be in february, but it's just rumours for now.

Biovores aren't the most powerful unit, but they are fun and add some spice to the shooting phase for nid players. I say go with them for the hell of it.

Yeah I kinda wanted to make out that Biovores can be good if you get past there appearence. Seeing as I don't like the current one and my friends, the ones I want to show my point to, don't like either, I was going for the one I like. Plan backfire, huh...

As I should of pointed out before, I didn't post this to make my army look good. Showing that even the best army dosen't have to look perfect is something we should all do.

Its the dick and balls version not the gorilla version.
