I was thinking about just throwing on some Guns to the BW with the extra points. What do you think? This list has been pretty brutal in the past and i just tweaked and finalized it so i wanted to know what everyone thought.

Thanks for the reply! haha your the first one in like 2 days. Yeah i win a great deal of my battles with this army. Its all about getting the turn 2 assault...once your boyz are in CC and out of the way of Pie Plates then your golden...it takes a lot for anyone to take down 150+ boyz in CC.

but you should replace some boyz with shoota boyz so you get some dakka and replace the PK on the nob in the shoota squad with 3 big shoota and eavy armour 'n bosspole for the nob.

I dont think i would benefit at all from that though. Once my boyz get stuck in, i cant shoot into hardly anything with the shoota boyz. Having 5 squads, ill prob tie up everything that the other army has in terms of units. I would just be assaulting with the shootas anyways.

I could put them in a trukk but that would be really easy pickins for the opponent.

well, if you replace all the boyz with shoota boyz and the extras above (if you want), you can make a pretty powerful dakka army

i think the shoota boyz would eliminate many, many infantrys cus no one can survive 220 s4 shots and 75 s5 shots, but i could be wrong.

Thing with shooting....you have to roll 5s to even hit then you have to roll to wound. It wouldnt be as good IMO. Thanks though =)

oh and heres something you would be happy for.

did you know that ghazghkull's WAAAGH! lasts for the rest of the game? it says in the codex, "Ghasghkull's WAAAGH! lasts the remainder of that player turn and all the following player turn.".

that makes Ghasghkull even more dangeoures.

Thats not the whole game though. It just means that once you declare it, it lasts your turn as well as your opponents turn. But during your opponents turn it doesnt really matter. So it only lasts 1 turn...not the whole game.

I believe the Ghaz Waugh only lasts 2 turns, but you can start it on your opponent's turn, and then have yours follow. It does do stuff both turns - Ghaz has an invulnerable save those two 'turns' and all your boyz are fearless - it might even come in handy for some wavering unit of Lootas all the way across the board! There was an interesting post about this in Bat Reps last month. Makes me want to run the Ghaz myself!

Ghaz's WAAAGH! lasts your turn and your opponents turn, but thats it. Also boyz need klawz, regardless of wether theyre slugga or shoota, s3 backed by nothing is not fun if you get charged, also against walkers, boyz don't stand a chance. I don't mean they will have a hard time, i mean they CANNOT do anything after the first turn, you need the klaws or an armored sential can tie up 30 boyz in a cc they are incapable of winning, killing maybe 3 orkz, but in essense taking them out of the game.

ive had this happen to me before. its not fun watching a soul grinder dance all over your boyz because you dont have anything stronger than S3-4 in the mob!

also id put some rokkit launchas on the BW if your trying to fill up on points, i think your list looks pretty effective, although i dont use them myself yet, i hear shoota boyz are great for holding objectives.

Im actually working on getting another unit of Sluggas to fill my full 6 slots.

Each Boyz squad does have a PK nob. They can only have 1 correct? It does suck getting tied up and not being able to do anything about it. But hey...atleast you have 4 other huge mobs of orks and Ghazzies Mobsters to come in and save the day.

For 2500 points i was thinking about 2 more BW each with 6 MANZ in them. And trying to get the KillKannon on each. that would be a pretty tough list to bring down IMO. what do you guys think?

any suggestions on the current list? If i wanted to go to 2000 any suggestions? I have a couple trukks 40 Shoota Boyz, big shootas rockits ect...although im really head strong about more MANZ in transports.

Ghaz and MANZ can be bangin, the 6" WAAAAGH!!! helps balance out the slow and purposeful rule, so you've got some synergy there, i'd pick up some kanz or deffkoptas, the koptas would keep up, but the kanz would hit like a second wave of MANZ. If you end up with kanz, grotzookas grotzookas grotzookas, and if you take koptas, take 3 groups of 2, both with rokkits and one with a buzzsaw.

I have a ton of Coptas but i never had any luck with them.

The Kans would be awesome but even if i had 9 of them, would they be as effective as 12 more MANZ split into 2 Battlewagons?

The deffkoptas with Buzz saws do sound really fun but their expensive. I think MANZ would kill way more in the way of points than the coptas.

Even in a 2000 points list, i could fit in another BW with 5 MANZ. Im just obsessed with MANZ. Every game ive played they have been devastating...doesnt seem like anything can really stop them before they go through 3 or 4 units.

My 2500 Point list i was thinking about 3 BW each with 6 MANZ in them. Maybe throw on a couple guns but i couldnt afford the Kill Kannon. What do you think?

IMO, kans would be as good, if not better then MANZ, just because their close combat attacks are initiative 2, so they strike before power fists/klaws, and they strike strength 10 power weapons. but what you have there sounds pretty damn solid. =]

Hey thanks man. here are the few reasons im not running Kans.

1) I would love for them to give my Sloggers a cover save but since their going to be slower than my boyz, its just going to slow down the process to getting stuck into CC.

2) With them being so slow, it gives the other army time to focus large blasts on my Sloggers. With the MANZ in BWs, the fire is focused on them therefore giving my orks a chance to not get blasted to death.

3) Kans are expensive =). Manz are too but i already have a good many of them. haha

I def considered the Kan wall though and it is a great tactic i just dont think its my style of play. I like Hitting hard then having a Mass flood of green to overwhelm my opponent.

Yeah they are easy to scratch build but if it wasnt for the other couple reasons im not running them i would def scratch build some. People make amazing Kan wall lists but its def. not my style of play. Plus who doesnt want 3 Battlewagons at 2500 Points rolling everything over?

First off, Walkers can run so they aren't really any slower then your boyz. They just can't run and assault unless they have fleet like defilers.

I realize you're probably not gonna change styles, and that's sweet but in general Mans are the worst TEQs imo. They can only have PKs for CC, which is great, but it's really slow. Plus with no way to get an invulnerable save except by having Mad dok Grotsnik in your army, they'll get utterly destroyed in CC by most other heavy melee threats since they'll be at a higher initiative and often wielding power weapons. Any of the 8 str, 2 ap shots will just insta kill you once they wound with no saves. I suppose they will take a lot of fire and that seems to be your goal so cool. I could see how it can work against many armies, but that's mostly just because they're not ready to deal with the horde, not necessarily the Manz that are taking fire.

If you ever play a good tau player I can see this list getting stomped. They'll remove your cover saves with markerlights, pop your vehicles with railguns, and mow you down with large blast submunitions from hammerheads, or you get rapid fired by a group of fire warriors that's had their BS boosted to 5 with 5 str weapons. Things disappear. And they'll run a lot, tau love their keep-away. Although, you can just as easily rock a tau if don't play carefully enough or if it's a small board.

I often hear it said that the best thing to do with Orks, whether it's speed freak, mech, green tide, or w/e is just pick one and go for it all the way. Mixing styles usually works slightly less well.
Meh, I tend to ramble and I'm sure you'll do just fine anyway. Orks *are* the best after all.

You must understand that for an ork a day that starts off killing something with your bare hands, and ends with those same hands being chopped off in battle, is a good one.

What's betta than one choppa? Two choppas!!! Two choppas is one more than...is one times da...IS LOTS MORE FUN!! WAAAAGH!!!
