Hello! I'm gonna convert me some Ogryns from Fantasy Ogres.

Yup, been done before. I just can't find a handy solution to the problem of converting their Ripper Guns. I have a load of spare Cadian Grenade Launchers I can use as a base, but they really need bulking up.

Anyone got any pics of their conversions? Any ideas? Anything I haven't thought of?

Personally I say use a Heavy Bolter as the base for the weapon. Its Big, looks heavy enough to be used by the brutes and they have the same strength value.

I useed missile launchers as a base (you should have plenty of those anyway), with chainswords from bayonets and the autocannon ammo drum for magazine. Add some greenstuff and presto, a ripper gun!

Using the Guard Autocannons, but cut down with extra barrels from the Guard Grenade launcher is the way foward I think.

I just used a handful of ork shootas for mine (the hands for orks are the same size as ogre hands) with bits of sprue, plastic tube and spare ammo magazines off autocannons and grenade launchers.

But two of my squad DO have the old metal ripper guns (however, these models came from a mate who was getting out of the hobby).

Ork big shootas with shortened barrels could look good.
