I live in Greenville, and there's a good scene here, Borderlands is the place to go. Used to be some good gaming in Columbia at Heroes and Dragons, but I haven't been there in years.

Come on James you know of plenty of people in our area that game. Im telling you Thursdays and fridays in Barnwell at The common grounds coffee house is the place to play. 40K every week with LOTR and WFB thrown in there not to include all the other game systems we delve in. We've got 3000 points of WE vs 3000 points of DE this Friday starting at 4:00 until 9:00. Not to include the coffee is really good. Heros and dragons is doing very well they hold tournies on regualr occasions. In Augusta the times to game are simple really Sundays at the Bobby Jones store and after hours at the Gordon storeon Mondays. People normally begin comeing in at around 6 on Mondays. DONT FORGET ABOUT ARD BOYZ WFB SEPTEMBER 26TH!! DICE START ROLLING AT 11:00.

I'm a regular player at Heroes and Dragons. Still around for sure. Has a great crowd. The store is going to start its 40k league in 2 weeks. Always something going on every Saturday.

I don't know the borderlands tourny schedule, obviously. Heroes does a 40k and/or Fantasy tourny every month. Points vary. The next one is on the 3rd and its a 2k Fantasy tourny. On the 17th I believe the 40k Planetary Empires campaign starts.

Heroes and Dragon's here in Columbia has people to play 40k or Fantasy warhammer pretty much every weekend. If you are not into the tournament that weekend you can pickup a game during more often than not. Saturdays are the main day, but some of us recently started doing Planetstrike on Sundays.

Judging by the armies listed.
Sarge=Lindon? This is Justin. Sup.

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know My name is the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon thee.

You know guys we could try to give something a go. A crossover tournament in any given of us, the CSRA gamers, and you guys up in Columbia. Could be pretty cool to try and give it a go sometime. I know most of us WFB players around here also have 40K armies as well so either system would rock, plus we have lots of Hoardes and Warmachine players as well.

We have a few Hordes and Warmachine armies floating around. It hasn't been played much until recently. I think setting up a big event could be a blast as long as we get some planning accomplished first.

Check my sig for a link to the borderlands site. I think they are just finishing up a FoW campaign, but there be plenty of 40k/whfb players about as well. There USED to be a great HordesMachine scene, but it died out after a few intense years. They people are still there though, and I am sure the armies are as well. I muself am trying to wait till I get a chance to read over the new rules, but if they fixed some issues I had with it then I will really be looking forward to dive back in.

I'd love to have FoW make a comeback. I have an Afrika Corp army that dies in droves but it's pretty.

FoW is alive and well at Borderlands. You'd be welcome to come up for some action; Thursday nights and Saturdays are the best days. Hopefully you can stage a comeback in your local areas as well. If you are interested in coming up, give Stan a call and see when that FoW campaign is done with.

So lets get this rolling. Most of the responses ive heard would like to have some sort of PP event. Sundays here seem to be the best day for everyone but im pretty sure Satuday would be fine as well. Now all we need is location and date. Would you prefer if we came to columbia or would you guys like to take a road trip to Augusta??

Same suggestions as the ones above, though apparently this thread is 2 years old. Heroes and Dragons on Bush River Road in Columbia is still open and kicking. We had 12 players for the 40k tournament this past Saturday. Borderlands in Greenville is still around and doing fine as far as I know. I've not been there before, but I hear good things. I don't know of any stores in the Sumter area.

If you can get to it, Knights of Sienna Fencing (aka Crazy Beanz and Beadz) also sells 40k, and the store owner is always ready to pull out his army and set up the tables. They have tournaments every so often on Saturdays, and I find them very helpful for newer players. not sure if their contacts have changed, they've moved recently, although I know dakkadakka user "crazy beanz" works there. You could PM him for more info.
