I am sure this is a simple question to most of you. I did find some time ago that souts are classed as Infantry, and infantry can use Rhinos. I have been also told that scouts cannot use rhinos, so.. anyone able to give me a fast answer on this. My attempt is to create a fast Mech' army. (and yes i know scouts outflank and such) Thank you in advance to anyone whom can help with this question.

Scouts do not have the ability to purchase a rhino as a dedicated transport, as there is no such option in their unit entry. They can ride in someone else's rhino though.

althought they may not deploy in it. (just jump in on turn one)

Yup. Infantry can normally ride in a transport and Scouts have no special rule that forbids them to. Their unit entry just doesn't let them buy a dedicated transport.

Excellent, My plan is to run a solid Annihilation/ Objectives Army. I play Salamander's So Vulkan and the Basic 2 full tac's alone are 530 pnts. I am going to try a small 3 o4 are bolter scout squad's and free up points for some Hammer/shield Termies, alnog witha few Ironclads, in drop pods.

if you want fast, why not give them a landspeeder storm? Unless im mistaken they can take them as dedicated, and then turbo boost for their scout move.

They cannot take them as dedicated. They can take them as a FA slot though.

Honestly, Because i am nto a big fan of Speeders. Also having a full family 30$ per model gets bit pricey sometimes lol
