Alright the 15 strong PB squad rides along with Epidemius and camps safely on a home objective hopefully with cover. to protect the tallyman. the three MC drop down and try to raise the tally quickly with 2 breath of chaos and 2 daemonic gaze and necrotic missiles. Go with a conservitive DS with the plaguebearer unit in order to get the icon in a decent position using run to help. hopefully by the time the nurglings come in the are swinging at 3 attacks that wound on a 2+ and ignore armour.

Obviously a slow army but a resiliant one. What do you all think.

May i suggest something instead of the GUO? I think Ku'gath may be a little points heavy, but his rules more than make up for that, as do his extra stats.
Not only will he stay alive longer (T6, FNP, 6 wounds, 4+inv save) but he can seriously hurt enemies at range.
at range he can hunt fex's and other MC's with ease.
He can tear apart termie squads in and out of combat.

all in all he is just a much stronger and more useful character.

Extra wound and attack
Spawns nurgling units.
Ranged weapon: 24", wounds on a 4+, AP2 Ordnance 1, large blast.

Other than that, i would drop some plagues (4 units of 10 are good enough to stay alive) and then focus on buying some beasts.
they dont look too good on paper, but with the tally being raised and thier great stats and ability to survive whole games they are amazing.

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor.

Too many points spent to protect the tallyman.

ok i could drop 5 plague from the tallyman and the cloud of flies on the flying prince and pick up KuGath. I don't like the beasts though because you may be paying premium for 1 attack

T5, FNP, 2 wounds and D6 attacks.

whats not to like?
Plagues have a single attack each, so combat wise they suck big time.
They are simply made to survive.

The beasts can not only survive, but they actually manage to kill pretty well, mixed with thier ability to ignore most wounds they are pretty decent.
also, with D6 attacks they add a risk factor to your opponant.
Do they charge a unit of 5 of them? a possible 5 - 30 attacks is nothing to laugh about, not when they are comming from something they can barely hurt.

Try running them for a while and see what you think.
They have never done me wrong in alot of games, about the only time ive had problems with them was against tau, and that was due to slowly crawling towards a fireline.

Nurgle!
Easily the worst of the three gods... they dont kill anything
Good army though, i would drop some of the plague bearers, in my experience they will simply do nothing

Edit: I know, I meant worse than the other three gods... my bad!

There are 4 gods.

With 3 princes, epidemius and kugath, nurgle can smash heads in.

It requires more skill and solid tactics, but it is far from bad.

alright I have never used beasts before so what are your reccomendations. 1 group of three or three groups of one? I really dont want to drop epidemius's retinue below 15 as he will be a prime and juicy target for any enemy deepstrikers.

How bout instead of thinking that the beast as point fillers, use them as retinue?

My take on your list:

Epidemius
Kugath

6 Beast of nurgle, touch (epidemius' retinue)

3 of 10 PBs
2 of 9 Nurglings

3 of Princes, MoN, Wings, Hide, Flies, Gaze

1989

Have fun.

The best thing that you can know about yourself is that you finally realized that you're good at something. For knowing that: Priceless. Anything else, just kill yourself.
