I was thinking of starting a long term project of painting up models for use in Dungeons
and Dragons. The longer term part of the project is the Party project where I just paint
up lots and lots of Reaper minis and other companies and mix and match different parties
for kicks, the second project is the one I wanted to focus on the monsters.

DnD 4th set up monsters into roles. They are also further broken into types and sizes.

So, if I wanted to build up a collection of generic monsters that fill the base/role/ and maybe
the types and sizes categories, what would I be looking at?

For me, long term means = multiple years. I have time. There are no DnD games for me
to run or play in any future at all. I just want to build up a monster collection.

Dang, bumped all the way down by Space Hulk.

Okay, conducting some research:

The dungeon master's guys sets monster roles as
*Artillery
*Brute
*Controller
*Lurker
*Minion
*Skirmisher
*Soldier
*Elites
*Solos
*Leaders

In addition, monster sizes are

Tiny/Small/Medium (1x1)
Large (2x2)
Huge (3x3)
Gargantuan (4x4 or more)

Going to go through the monster manuals to see how the monster "types" tend to
associate with the sizes. Will report back later.
