Heads up folks!

Thought it was only fair since TrollForge has thier Greatcoats up, I should be able to show you our upcoming Wolf shields.

We , Chapterhouse Studios, have gone and hired a concept artist to create some Wolf Shields and armor piece sketches.

I am very impressed with the work done, and you will see the shields (on the left) and the pads (on the right) sculpted and available on our website in October and November. We are busy sculpting a ton of glue on icons for the upcoming codex that incorporate runes and wolf and other viking like imagery.

Soon to the production shop are 2 Rhino kits for Iron Snakes as well as Space Wolves.

What do you guys think!

I think my favorite is the one with the big wolf head, it will be a bear to sculpt but well worth it.

Oh sure ... someone FINALLY does nice round Viking shields after I've struggled to make my own for ages !!!

Nice work and I love the detailing !! Consider my lame attempts scrapped and put me on your Advance Order list if there is one !!

I am definitely most interested in the round shields for use with standard troops and the more elaborate shields for the Sgts or characters.

Love the Round Shield. Love the Round Shield. Love the Round Shield.

Is that a meltagun barrel I see peeking out of the shield on the far left?

And in case I forgot to mention it: Love the Round Shield.

Hehe

Yeah that round shield can be slightly changed to incorporate tons of other ideas (tyranid skulls ).

I think that is just a power module for the storm shield, it does look like a melta barrel though (in all fairness, a Melta Barrel looks like a regular exhaust tube).

wholeheartedly agree; the round shield is my favorite. it's still nordic but not in-yo-face-anime-supa-wolves-spess-marineez like the canis model from GW.

Well please just sculpt the shield as is, or even without the power cables (Maybe you can make those part of an 'accessories for shields' range), those shield would be awesome for celt lovers who don't want to use more Rohan bits.... ESPECIALLY pertinent to those entering GD's.

Very nice shields and pads.

Are shields and pads going to be available for both power armour and terminator armour?

Also are you doing wolf specific thunderhammers similar to the salamander ones?

Well there goes alot more money I do not have. May have to wait on total builds for the new army if their stuff looks half as good as the sketches.

When in doubt.........Duck!

Even in the far future there can still be heroes...

We tend to make our shields with removable hand holds, so that terminators can use them without and regular marines can use them as is.

Im hoping our sculptor is up to the task of doing the shields as seen, he did have some concerns with the small runes on the round shield.

I will post pictures of the Space Wolf Rhino accessories when they arrive in a week or so.

Yeah lone wolves, the reason i mention it is that the lonewolf pic (drawing) in the book has a round shield and it looks awesome, you could maybe use that as an idea of scale?

Honestly, I didn't know there WERE runes on the shield till you said something. I think it would look awesome without them, the Knotworking, filigree and boss are what make the shield a success. The runes are definitely a secondary element.
