There are a billion times a billion topics on a hypothetical 40k/fantasy battle movie, but which would you chose out of the 2? (This topic is different becuase its about both.)

A movie adaption of one of the many popular black library books could be good too.

Well I'd try to make something people who never played the game could get into. Guardsmen are the closest thing we got to regular human soldiers, and they live tough but epic lives fighting the enemies of humanity.

Oh, and we need to have one of the main guardsmen go Chaos so there is emotion in it. I'd lay it out sort of like dawn of war, Guard fight orks, Tau or Eldar intervene then Chaos makes a jump.

I think a movie about Guard that fall to Chaos, then have the Grey Knights come in would be AWESOME.

Only because I would greatly love to see a Grey Knight Terminator on a movie screen.

I think a Fantasy movie isn't a great idea. It will undoubtedly get comparisons to Lord of the Rings in droves. Unless they went a really crazy route, like Tomb Kings vs. Skaven or something. It could be done if it was done more like Mordheim.

As for 40k, I think a movie with Guardsmen and a small role by Marines would be great. A Ciaphas Cain adaptation would be really entertaining. Also thought that Storm of Iron would make a decent movie with a bit of editing.

Weren't there rumors last year of a CGI straight to video 40k film? I thought some GW guys confirmed it.

I would like to see a movie with some more exotic races then men.

Or maybe a very dark fantasy story about some young human boy turning bad and becoming a great champion of chaos.

I don't know about a Guard movie it would start, the staring names would flash on the screen, a guardsman would be firing his lasgun at something and then POP! Demons fade in and cleave him in two. The movie would last five minutes tops. A line of movies based on the Horus Heresy Books would be better because of the plot line.
