Today our gallery reached the 50k image mark. First off I want to give a big public thanks to Kid_Kyoto, InyokaMadoda, Arctik_Firangi, Hordini, viney, Pipboy101, warboss, kid_happy, wyomingfox and Enron who have made a huge contribution to voting, sorting and categorising the gallery, especially kid_kyoto who has done far more than any other user including yakface and myself. Without you guys, and everyone else who has helped vote, tag and categorise the gallery would just be a total mess instead of being relatively easy to search, so a big thanks to you all from everyone who has ever enjoyed using the gallery.
So onto some stats....
We are now the second largest wargaming miniature gallery in existence (by a huge margin). At current growth rates we will be the biggest in 27 months or so.
We have had 172,776 votes cast to date.
There have been 4,613,783 direct image views, of which 498,388 were from registered users, and we average around 400,000 image views per day for people using us for hosting or remote linking our gallery images (about 8GB of images every day).
We serve up 230-250GB images per month and that rate increases by 20-40GB per month.
The gallery images alone currently take up 49GB of disk space (well technically 4 times that when you consider all the off site incremental backups - if the server ever dies we are not going to lose the gallery).
We add an average of 175 new images every day.
The average rating for an image is 3.3/10 (a lot of
WIP and unpainted stuff!)
There are 3261 images with an average rating above 7.00, but only 155 are above 9.00, and only 9 are above 9.9.
2992 inappropriate images have been deleted by moderators so far.
5204 comments have been left about images.
There are 6102 different image tags, and 519,253 tags have been applied to images.
Here are some gallery searches you might not have tried before:
