The reason the daemon prince dosnt have a pyhsic power is beacuse i cannot decide between Lash of submission or Winds of chaos. I realise that the Lash is probably more effective however as soon as you put a lash in a list people start to role there eyes and declare your list is a "lash list" What are your guy' thoughts on my list and daemon prince physic powers problem?

You're taking an all-slaanesh army, with multiple vindicators, and you're not taking Lash? Emperor's Children armies are the ones that should feel no shame at taking Lash, it's not like you're running plague marines...

You've got 6 of these units, and they're awful.

First, this means you have only 30 scoring models. Emperor's Children are no harder to kill than other marines. 30 models isn't going to cut it alone. You're paying a lot of points right off the bat for a guy with I5, but you have no champion or way to get into combat - so your I5 is being wasted.

You're paying a lot of points for your weapons. Sonic Blasters should generally be thought of like storm-bolters, allowing you to lay down a decent amount of fire while remaining mobile. But, you've also got a blastmaster in the unit. Blastmasters can be fired on the move, but they're way too expensive to use that way, you need to sit still and fire that thing in order to make it worth taking.


Do you have any rhinos? You can reconfigure these units to make them more effective...

Leaving everything else the same (and assuming you take lash), I'd run:

2x 5 noise marines, 1 blastmaster - these guys go on objectives and stand still and fire the blastmastes

2x 10 noise marines w/ champions w/ doom siren & powerfist, 9 sonic blasters, and rhinos - these guys go attack your opponent.

I like warptime better than winds. I like lash better for a ranged army. I understand your concerns as far as the others rolling their eyes but other armies have equal stuff to roll eyes at and that hasn't stopped them from fielding it.

While your list is practically made for the Fzorgle, you are absolutly right about eye rolling and declaring of cheese. In a casual or non-formal gaming enviroment, lash is often seen as being very unkind. I'm sure there are players who will tell you otherwise, but from my experience, that's the truth.
If you added lash to your list, you'd multiply the effects off all those templates.
If you added wind to your list, you'd add yet another template.
As a third option to consider, Warptime is a very nice power.

Even though you only asked about the psychic element of the list, I feel I'd be remiss if I didn't point out that your Vidis would benefit from Possession.

Like the true to Slannesh approach and think you could do a sick paintjob with this army.

This is also very good advice. Listen to Redbeard.

Vindis: No daemonic possession? Spiky Smurf time?

DP: many of the powers are good.
Lash is good as most know.
WT is good coupled with high I.
Wind is decent, but not on a need basis, nor has that many combos.
Nothing: is also an option, keeping them cheap and disposable.

Troops:Agreed with everyone else.
I generally advise against mixing weapons, esp. sonic weapons.
They have different roles/ranges and may end up being alot of points wasted.

You need some combat power, hence the suggested NM squad kitted out for combat.
In addition, though mobile, it's still somewhat of a slow army and some rhino squads would help alot.

And 5 man squads? Min/Max, hell at least fork out the points for the 6th members and be a proper EC list.

I agree with others, rhinos are needed to be mobile.

Warptime is good on the daemon prince, I know your going for E.C's but warptime is a very good power for a prince.

Vindicators could do with daemonic possession if you can afford it.

Well lash is THE slannesh power. If they don't like just quote cartmen "Whateva I do what I want".

Just a thought perhaps take 5 Noise marine's with their bolter's and a champ with a power wep and the siren. Just so ya got abit of CC bunch.

Well, the list is semi-competitive.
Foot slogging is a slow way to die.

What you need are 2 winged DP's with lash and
three or four NM squads in Rhinos.
Fill the rest with 3 Vindicators.

I play Emporers Children myself, I agree with what most others said; your Noise Marines's are going to be very vulnerable and will need some protection, personally I run with CSM's with MoS as theyre cheaper and still get the job done... your paying over 30pts for each noise marine which I consider to be a bit expensive for the heart of your army... personally IMHO i'd go for:
- 2 squads of 10 CSM's with MoS, Rhino and extras (i'd consider getting a 3rd rhino for backup)
- 2 squads of Noise Marines with your weapon loadout or similar
- leaving you with about 160pts to do what you want with afterwards...
(if you wonder about MoS on shooty squads its a) fluffy and b) provides protection from assaults

and yeah, as someone said, Emporers Children should be fine with Lash, although Warptime is good too, I'd for go 4 lash 2 benefit the rest of your army
