I'm going to attempt a scratch built monolith (don't feel like dropping 70 bucks just yet.
I have some rough patterns I have started on paper, if somone has one I would like some input on my sizing guesses.
I have a started a base that is 15 cm by 15 cm (easy to split into three) with a height of 10 cm to the top (where the crystal is)
with about anotehr 8cm for the top area around the two sides with the three struts are.
Can someone please take a quick measurement and let me know if its in the right ball park scale wise.
I will be documenting everything once the templates seem to come together and will be sharing.

Im not able to measure it currently but off the top of my head its dead on 6"x 6" x 6" and then the focusing array at the top above the crystal is another 4 or so inches.

There's also a template floating around on the interwebs to make one from cardstock. I've got it somewhere on my pc; PM me with an email and I'll send it to you.

I too have the PDF of the paper monolith. It DOES have alot of pieces, but dammit, its hard to tell the real and the paper apart thats for sure
