Ooo, this is a good team-up since the dwarves can provide fire power and base-line defense while you provide speed and magic damage. The greatest thing about doubles games is that you can build to your strengths and let your partner handle your weaknesses, and vice-versa.
A bolt thrower and an eagle (though with a Dwarf next to you, you can probably leave all shooting to him) can be great. The eagle especially since for 50 points it's one of the few really effective march blockers at the points level.
Assuming you guys can effectively work together to dispel enemy magic, you pretty much can forget about requiring magic-defense and focus on magic offense. Those 4 DD that Dwarfs can practically shut down magic at these points with no investment. If you're feeling a bit uneasy about this idea, invest in a single scroll - though I suspect you'll need no more than it.
If you wanted to be VERY mean, you could go with a Dragonmage as your Hero and flesh out your remaining 300ish points with a unit of archers or spears an eagle and a min unit of Dragon Princes or Chariot. Dragonmages are simply deadly at low points levels, and with an Eagle march-blocker and Dwarf gun support, he should be able to fly around fairly unmolested.
